I went online and filled in an application for a PayDay Loan. I was supposed to be charged a fee of 159.95 for the loan fee, which was going to be debited out of my savings account. I did not complete the application, did not check the box to authorize the transaction, as a matter of fact, I did not even finish completing the application,it was too confusing.

I called the number listed if you had questions. I called and spoke with a gentleman who answered all of my questions. I decided this was not for me, and told him I did not want the loan after all. I told him I did not complete the application, did not check the box to authorize my electronic signature, and he assured me without submitting the completed application with the box checked for the electronic signature, they could not complete the transaction. He could not even find my half done application on their website.

I got a letter from my bank, stating that on May 02,2007, that an electronic payment in the amount of 159.95 was returned because of insufficient funds in my account, and the bank charged me a fee of twenty dollars.

I called the bank immediately thinking, oh no, this payday loan company tried to deposit the loan amount into my account even without me completing the application and giving them my electronic signature for them to complete the transaction. The bank rep informed me that the charge was from a company called EDP which I had never even heard of. How did they get my bank account information, when I never even heard of them? I only thank goodness that I did not have the sufficient funds in my account, or I would be out more money than the twenty dollar fee the bank charged me for insufficient funds.

I'm sure once I explain this to the bank, they will credit the money back to me. In the meantime, how can obviously scam companies get your account information, and then take money out of your account without your signature? Someone has to stop them now.

I received an update from someone named Debbie who states, we are sorry that you did not understand what you were signing. That's exactly the point, I didn't sign anything. The large page I was applying for was a payday loan, there was a little side advertisement for a credit card, which I ignored. Debbie states it was the other way around, it was not! The large ad was for a payday loan, not a credit card. I would not pay 159.95 for a credit card that you have to load up, that's stupid. I want assurance from these people that they will leave my funds alone, I have read reports that if you don't have the funds in your account one month, they will try again and again every month to get ahold of your funds. I did not sign anything, so how did they get ahold of my banking information, the only site I gave my banking information to was for the payday loan. So in other words, these people hacked into the site and got my banking information without my permission, and then had the nerve to say that I signed it. I did no such thing. They are liars and scammers of the worst kind. Please stop them now! I did not sign anything for them, or for that matter, I did not finalize or sign anything for the payday loan.

You were filling out a prepaid debit card not a payday loan we do not support payday loans however there may have been a side advertisment for a payday loan but thats not ours. You yourself stated it was to confusing which I do apologize for that. I think it was very wise of you to contact someone for more information about what you was getting into but as far as whom you may have spoken to I have no ideal because our customer service dept would have advised you about the prepaid debit card not a payday loan. I hope your bank reverse any charges this may have caused you. And if you need any assistance please contact Debbie at 818-847-0672 exit 141
