To all bar mitzvah mothers, I hired the DJ entertainment company ej the dj, ej the dj is a company that was highly recommended by many many catering halls, and also other companies. I had a bar mitzvah for my son Lee, he is currently suffering from autism. This bar mitzvah that we hired ej the dj, to perform for was supposed to be the most important day of our sons life. Lee waited many years for his bar mitzvah to come and I assured him I would make his bar mitzvah one he will always remember. I went to ej the djs office not in ronkonkoma but at a different location to book my sons bar mitzvah. The office staff at ej the dj mentioned the word talent many times and this is why there prices were excessive. The company ej the dj showed up at my event one hour into the event, due to there van breaking down, but all the (talent) was at the catering hall with no equipment to perform infront of. I would have thought a company referred as much as ej the dj would have a second truck or spare equipment around to prevent this problem form occurring. Ej the dj was referred for many reasons I found out mostly (money) After viewing all the resources and referrals i received, I noticed they all had one thing in common, they refer, ej the dj for the same reason, they get paid to due so! I am absolutely disgusted with ej the dj, and also the enterta9inment industry as I feel it is a paid system. Thank you for destroying my sons bar mitzvah and I am not happy to write this but after reviewing this web site I have to inform all the bar mitzvah mothers. Caitin

BOGUS REPORT (please prove me wrong)

#2UPDATE Employee

Tue, March 09, 2010

Ms. Simon,

Again, I urge you to contact us directly to discuss this matter.  To be honest, I believe this to be a bogus report for several reasons.

1. As stated above, we have no record of you or your event in our system.

2. You have failed to reveal the names of a single employee you have worked with.  Certainly you had an event coordinator present you with a contract.  What was the MC's name you were working with?  The reason I originally asked you these questions was not to doubt the credibility of your report, but to get to the bottom of the problem.  I can't do that unless you tell me who specifically told you the van broke down.

3. You have also failed to specify the catering hall this occurred at.  Please give me the catering hall information as I would like to discuss this with their (not there) manager.  If I were a banquet manager and the DJ company for an event showed up an hour late, the first thing I would do is get the company on the phone and let them know about it.  We have had no such phone call.

4. I believe this rebuttal is a response to my request via ripoffreport.com to speak with the author about this matter.  It appears your motive was not to resolve this problem, receive a refund or have the staff responsible reprimanded but to just reiterate how EJ the DJ was responsible for ruining your sons event.

5. It seems a bit coincidental that our company and another local company have both recently discovered bogus reports with similar grammar issues and numerous inaccuracies in these reports.  The other report I am referring to is #555348.  Please note that the Authors are both from Holbrook and have the same awful grammar.  Let me go a step further and flat out state that we both know this author is an employee of Music to your Ears DJs as they were dumb enough to put their website on the bottom of report #555348.  This is also not the first time we have had issues with this company's awful business ethics.  I actually GoogleEarth.comed the address listed on their website and it was a house.  The funnies part was a pinpoint with two negative reviews about their company at the address. These guys are making a lot of enemies.

Your facts don't line up and your very vague in your report regarding people and location.  I have no solid information to allow us to backtrack your event to see who is responsible.  You have failed to provide me with anything additional that would resolve this issue.  Due to the above listed inaccuracies, we have deemed this report COMPLETELY BOGUS!

To all Bar/Bat Mitzvah moms:  Use whichever company you deem suitable to your likings but for goodness sakes, do not do business with Music To Your Ears DJs.

This is the right (EJ THE DJS)

Hello, everyone.
I was the originator to this report, I am referring the EJ THE DJ, not EJ THE DJs, I am not sure if there are (2) companies but one has an s, one does not?

Anyway, I did google.com EJ THE DJs, just to see if I did make a mistake but www.ejthedj.com did in fact come up not any other EJ THE DJ

I just wanted to say, that I did enclose in the original report my opinion.. I was hoping the report would be seen by Mitzvah mothers and mitzvah families.

The report seems to be viewed often by the office of www.ejthedj.com, after reviewing the comments, rebuttals that have been made this is clearly a true statement. The rebuttals made by the office of: www.ejthedj.com stated different various of ways they would fix the issues I had at my mitzvah event, but none of these methods were used at my mitzvah event, this is why I am writing this rebuttal, also to inform the office of: www.ejthedjc.om that this was in fact them not www.ejthedjs.com..

Good luck to all the mitzvah families out there.

Wrong EJ the DJ

I am also an employee of EJ the DJ, Inc.  The number listed in the original report lists an incorrect business number she had as a contact number.  When I called this number it was out of service.  As a 9 year employee, this doesn't sound like she was actually working with our company.  I would have been suspicious when your DJ didn't meet with you at the address of our business or your home.  There are also no contact names listed in the report.

As stated by the other rebuttal, we have no record of this client or party in our system.  We do not own any vans and if there were to be a problem, we have a standard procedure to prevent any additional issues from arising.  This includes the involvement of a production staff that is on call 24/7 as we are a large company and produce many events at one time.  Showing up an hour late to an event and stating the van broke down is an amateur excuse and is almost cliche in an industry where reputation is everything.

All of our contracts have our address, phone, fax, website and email information on the bottom.  It is unfortunate that some people have the indecency to use our name and reputation to get business and even more unfortunate that when things go wrong, our name is associated with it.  This however is not a new issue for us.  For several years now we have been dealing with this situation and are doing what we can to make sure our clients don't get scammed by imitators.  EJ the DJ is a reputable 25 year company constantly striving to exceed our clients expectations.

Please feel free to contact us at (800) EJ THE DJ with any questions regarding this or any other issues.

Please make sure you have the company name correct, as you can see by the other complaints, another company used our name and added an "s" ej the djs.I have no record of this event. We don't own any Vans, all trucks. We either do in home appts. or in our office. Our reputation is what we have been standing on for 25 yrs. If we ever had a party like this 2 things would have happened. A call would have been made immediately to the client, and if we were late a refund of some sort.  As you say we are "highly recommended" by halls and piers. That is EJ the DJ, not ej the djs.
