I was a model for Empire for 3 years. I never met anyone who made more than $5,000 total after being with them for 3 years. They prey on unsuspecting models and tell them all about the fame and money but all the time we went out and worked to pay their rent. They always lie and commit illegal acts but having sex with underage models and taking them into clubs to get money from promoters. The keep everyone quiet by threatening their carreers and making them believe if we do what they say we will make money. Bit the jobs never come. It is all lies and they are expert liars. They manipulate people and the internet to make themselves look good but recently everyone is leaving them. The make everyone feel like if they leave them they will be destroyed, They are liars, evil and are glorified pimps. Justin and Ryan have a temper so everyone is battered, Intimidation and threats and battering. Don't put your child here. Justin has been having sex with underage girls for years and now he tries to pimp them out for money. These are slimey bad people, be warned,

Ryan Colby no longer works for Empire Model Management Inc. and has not since September 2009. I took action and fired him due to these types of complaints that were brought to my attention. I cant be responsible for the actions of a booker that works for Empire Model Management if I am unaware of what is going on. Empire Model Management works very hard on each model to ensure that they get the best representation for their career. We can only do our part! The models must be able to close the deal and do a good job when working for the top clients in the industry. We have learned a lot in our first 3 years of being in this business. It is cut throat and not for the weak hearted. We are capable just as many model management companies to get a good model in front of the decision makers of this business. We develop and transform females and males from ordinary everyday people into models that have the knowledge of what it takes to succeed.

I really hate how people post negative things about companies and hide behind a computer and an internet connection.

Empire Model Management nor myself, Justin D. Peery has never been unprofessional with any model EVER!

I agree that having to say I Love you to an agent is absolutely ridiculous. We obviously will not tolerate this type of behavior from anyone.

Sadly it is not the person responsible for these actions that gets the bad rep. It is the agency that they worked for.

So the record is clear! On behalf of Empire Model Management, Inc. and myself I would like to apologize for any behavior unbecoming of an agent that previously worked for Empire Model Management, Inc.

Best of luck to you!

I am a model, represented by several agencies in many cities all over the world. Back in the day when I was getting established in NYC, I visited EMPIRE MODELS and was shocked at they way I was being treated and spoken to. Needless to say I didn't sign with them but had I just been starting out and naive about the whole modeling world then I wouldn't know the difference. They prey on new models, that are naive to the industry. I know a few models at EMPIRE and they do not get much work. I once did a job with 2 of them, it turned out I was getting paid double what they we're getting paid, Ryan was calling them on there cell phones throughout the shoot (not the done thing) and at the end of the conversation both models would end the conversation with "I love you too". I thought that was ludicrous.

Also, a very good friend of mine is a photographer in NYC, Ryan called him to see if he could send some models to him to be shot as he liked his work. My friend declined as he was too busy, Ryan preceeded to give out the photographers cell phone number and models we're constantly calling him saying Ryan had said to arrange a date to shoot.

I can't confirm the sexual allegations but it definitely would not surprise me. These people use eveyone and everything. I've never met such low vibrating, negative, evil people, not even in this industry where it is pretty common to come across stuck up people. These people are not just stuck up, they do not have the models benefit in mind at all. I have spoke to so many models that have this same opinion.

NEVER SIGN WITH EMPIRE.

I am Justin Peery, CEO of Empire Model Management, Inc. New York. 1. Empire Model Management, Inc. has only been in business for two (2) years, not three as stated in this post. 2. Empire Model Management, Inc. will not release the income of its models, but most make much more than $5,000. The work of our models speaks for itself, www.empiremodel.com. We do not promise or guarantee that every model that signs with us will be successful. It would be impossible to do so. It is a simple fact of life that some models are not successful, usually because they are unreliable or difficult to work with. 3. Like other agencies, Empire Model maintains an apartment for our models while they are in New York. Like other agencies, our models reimburse Empire Model for the use of this apartment from their earnings. The cost to our models of staying in this apartment is far less than it would be if they stayed in a hotel or rented their own apartment in New York. This apartment saves our models thousands of dollars. 4. Only two models have left Empire Model in the last six months. Both owe Empire Model for expenses advanced on their behalf. We have every reason to believe that they are the authors of this post as they orally threatened to smear Empire Model. Their contracts are exclusive and will remain in effect until their account is resolved. Empire Model is considering suing the authors of this post for defamation if it makes economic sense to do so. 5. Empire Model has never threatened a model's career. However, when necessary, like other agencies, we notify clients of models that are difficult or unreliable. 6. No one at Empire Model Management, Inc. has ever tried to pimp or sell models. Nor has anyone ever had sexual contact with any minors. Our lawyers are informed of this and will be dealing with this matter. Statements against an individual that are false are considered to be Slander. False statements against a New York Corporation with the intent to damage the name or potential income of the company is Slander. Slander n. oral defamation, in which someone tells one or more persons an untruth about another which untruth will harm the reputation of the person defamed. Slander is a civil wrong (tort) and can be the basis for a lawsuit. Damages (payoff for worth) for slander may be limited to actual (special) damages unless there is malicious intent, since such damages are usually difficult to specify and harder to prove. Some statements such as an untrue accusation of having committed a crime, having a loathsome disease, or being unable to perform one's occupation are treated as slander per se since the harm and malice are obvious, and therefore usually result in general and even punitive damage recovery by the person harmed.
