I am Justin Peery, CEO of Empire Model Management, Inc. New York. 1. Empire Model Management, Inc. has only been in business for two (2) years, not three as stated in this post. 2. Empire Model Management, Inc. will not release the income of its models, but most make much more than $5,000. The work of our models speaks for itself, www.empiremodel.com. We do not promise or guarantee that every model that signs with us will be successful. It would be impossible to do so. It is a simple fact of life that some models are not successful, usually because they are unreliable or difficult to work with. 3. Like other agencies, Empire Model maintains an apartment for our models while they are in New York. Like other agencies, our models reimburse Empire Model for the use of this apartment from their earnings. The cost to our models of staying in this apartment is far less than it would be if they stayed in a hotel or rented their own apartment in New York. This apartment saves our models thousands of dollars. 4. Only two models have left Empire Model in the last six months. Both owe Empire Model for expenses advanced on their behalf. We have every reason to believe that they are the authors of this post as they orally threatened to smear Empire Model. Their contracts are exclusive and will remain in effect until their account is resolved. Empire Model is considering suing the authors of this post for defamation if it makes economic sense to do so. 5. Empire Model has never threatened a model's career. However, when necessary, like other agencies, we notify clients of models that are difficult or unreliable. 6. No one at Empire Model Management, Inc. has ever tried to pimp" or sell models. Nor has anyone ever had sexual contact with any minors. Our lawyers are informed of this and will be dealing with this matter. Statements against an individual that are false are considered to be Slander. False statements against a New York Corporation with the intent to damage the name or potential income of the company is Slander. Slander n. oral defamation, in which someone tells one or more persons an untruth about another which untruth will harm the reputation of the person defamed. Slander is a civil wrong (tort) and can be the basis for a lawsuit. Damages (payoff for worth) for slander may be limited to actual (special) damages unless there is malicious intent, since such damages are usually difficult to specify and harder to prove. Some statements such as an untrue accusation of having committed a crime, having a loathsome disease, or being unable to perform one's occupation are treated as slander per se since the harm and malice are obvious, and therefore usually result in general and even punitive damage recovery by the person harmed.
