Oak Bend Mobile home park, a 55+ Community is becoming hazardous to its elderly residents. There are potholes in the streets, that have temporary patches, yet they did brand new paving in the front where visitors drive in. I myself have an autoimmune disorder and it is difficult for me to walk on even pavement, let alone, pavement  with holes and patches around it.

The pool is now a hazard for the 2nd time in a two year span.  They do not appear to be hiring certified pool technicians to work on the pool, but maintenance men possibly from other parks. The pump is now burnt out and the other day there was app. 6 inches of flooding inside the gated area where the pump and filters are located. The Closed Pool Sign was down as well.  .

This is extremely hazardous for people such as myself who have autoimmune disorders.  If the pool is not fixed correctly by a certified technician, there is the distinct possibility of bacteria in the pool, making myself and other elderly people sick.  Someone stuck a water hose in it and just left it. Pathetic.  I am sure complaints to the office have been made, but truthfully, what can they do except what Corporate is telling them to do?

They continue to raise park rent every year and have said they have the right to first refusal when we decide to sell our homes.  That is against the law, from what I have read on Florida Mobile Home Regulations.  As they raise the rent, the place is falling apart except for the front of the area.  The "Fitness Room" consist of 2 broken machines, an eliptical and treadmill. That is also all there is room for.  It is a joke.

They have now installed water meters, which is another added amenity gone as was the trash pickup.  The people in the office are extremely rude in the presence of inquiring people looking for a place.  An argument happened with a resident and the secretary while a prospective customer was waiting, not good business practice at all.  People are moving out because of all these problems and the fact of the rent continually being raised with no thought that many elderly are on fixed incomes and just cannot afford the constant increases.

In my opinion, these are all problems that may be justified to file a class action lawsuit against this company.  I know I am not the only one to complain about all of these things mentioned.  If I do get sick because this company decides to cheap out on fixing the pool correctly, I will definitely be contacting a lawyer. I have way too many health issues to deal with as it is and I quite frankly am sick to death of the incompetence shown by the people in the office and also ELS.

We will eventually be moving also, when we find a suitable home.  It definitely will not be in any Mobile Home Park, especially one run by ELS.

Thank You
