Well, where to begin. If you buy a nonfat milk from a grocery store went home drank it and saw it tasted like regular milk, are you gonna blame the grocery store? (who made and bottled the milk) Expedia does not make up hotel information or star ratings, it is supplied to them. How do you think they get all the pictures and amenities the hotel have to offer. Someone from the hotel! If you go to a hotel and your absolutely not satisfied, give Expedia a call right away and tell them the situation, one thing you must absolutely do too is let the hotel staff know your dissatisfaction, that way when an Expedia rep calls the hotel will know what they are talking about and be more willing to help. Please do not blame Expedia because a hotel was bad, they do not own the hotel or any of the staff, all Expedia can do is try to get you reaccomdated, try to work with the hotel for a refund and send your complain to a marketing manager for review. Expedia can't fix a problem without knowing what it is. It also depends on how much people complain on this one hotel. ALL information provided on the website comes directly from the hotels marketing department including the star ratings. I am not trying to put the blame on anyone for a guest bad hotel experience but if there is a problem it is good to know so it can be researched and FIXED.

Expedia does everything to make you believe it has the same STAR ratings as Mobil. NO THEY DON'T. Only Mobil gives true Star Ratings. And they are hard to get. AAA gives Diamond Ratings. For instance in Chicago There are only 3 5 Star Hotels by Mobil (Penninsula, Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton.) Only two others are 4 Stars by Mobil (Westin River North and Park Hyatt.) That is it 5 Hotels in Chicago have a 4 star rating or better. If you read TINY TINY print it says Our Star ratings are not based on Mobil. Then why do they call them Stars. AAA calls their rating Diamonds. They obviously call them STARS to confuse people. Look at how many 4 star hotels Expedia has in Chicago.
