I booked a hotel room using expidia.com, I received a conformation and within an hour we realized we no longer needed the room, due to the fact we could not confirm if the room was weelchair accessable, so we used their cancelation link and cancelled our reservation and conformation was sent and we were informed that we would not recieve a refund... what? The reservations were only in the process not even yet sent conformation from the hotel... DO NOT USE EXPEDIA, CALL THE HOTEL YOURSELF OR EXPEDIA WILL RIP YOU OFF!

Consumers have the choice to book hotel reservations directly with the hotel and pay their fees or contact someone like Expedia.com who offers negotiated discounted rates based on contracts with vendors that guarantee a certain amount of room usage. You chose to save money therefore calling Expedia.com and making your hotel reservations, giving your credit card for payment and being advised of Expedia's cancelation policy. You agreed to the terms! Expedia.com is a highly reputable, consumer friendly oriented company. Our customer service satisfaction ranks highest in the industry. Perhaps you need to pay closer attention in the future when making reservations and agreeing to the cancelation policy. Employees are required to read the cancelation if you call in for reservations and we are monitored very closely. If you book online, the cancelation policy is outlined in red for your perusal. Again, Expedia.com is not out to rip-off anyone.
