Express Water Heater not a certified plumber since 1992 Camas, Washington
Earl Gooch is the owner and operater of Express Water Heater in Camas Washington. Earl has been in business since 1992 and has never been caught installing water heaters. He is not a certified licensed plumber as Washington State requires in order to install water heaters. Earl has never had a employee either. It has always been Earl doing the installations. Earl has attempted to get a number of required licensing but never filled a single one. He just got again, a couple weeks ago a trainee plumbers card. This is just a smoke screen to get LNI off his back for the moment. SEE www.Lni.gov just type in his last name see all the attempts yourself. Earl has admit to no emoployees ever, he did the installs, he not certified, no educational trade schools in a sworn statement. Earl has installed enough water heaters to raise 3 children whom are adults now have a stay at home wife/mother and purchase 2 homes. That is a lot of water heaters. It is shocking that any plumbing wholesale supply warehouse would sale water heaters to a business that has no certified plumber employed only Earl who is a construction contractor only.Express Water Heater has a single function of water heaters. Plumbing wholesale supplies has also a single function of plumbing suppies. It would be nice if they supported the certified plumbers by no sales to contractor and only sale to plumber who are certified licensed.Never purchases permits from county to install any water heaters either.
To catch this business in the act is hard due to the jobs are so fast and you are in then out within 1 hour and you are on the move continually.
This businessss is not current on any laws,rules and codes being there is no testing or checking on the business being there is no plumber employed taking the state required updates assuring they are current with the requirements of the consumers being safe, health and stardards of the State.

Earl Gooch is a trainee plumber again. He has been a trainee for 17 years off and on. Is he just playing with the system getting a trainee plumbers card again? This is so unbelievable. I do wonder how many certified licensed plumbers in Clark County Washington knew that Earl Gooch was not certified and never said anything. I wonder how many wholesalers have sold Earl Gooch water heaters at wholesale price knowing he wasnt a certified plumber and didnt have employees.
It is really unfortunate that anyone would degrade their certified trade by allowing any one, even there friend to operate without their certification. That is required by laws, rules and code. Getting certified is not a simple task, but is mandatory to all. Helping a friend is okay but to allow that friend to
All the plumbing supply warehouses should be supportive to the certified licensed plumbers. The warehouses can demand that a certified licensed plumber can purchase only. If there is no documentation of a certified plumber, then no wholesale prices for that business. This would be a start at protecting the plumbing trade.
If you dont protect your certification by reporting unlicensed plumbers than the certification that you worked so long for and maintain every year with the continual education course become worthless. Do the right thing for your professional trade. Report uncertified plumbers; Ask the plumbing supply warehouses to require proof of being a certified licensed plumber to get whole sale prices.
