I have been having Dr Ramirez as my doctor for the past 3 years and for the most part was very impressed by her level of attention to me as a patient. I have not met one single doctor in this country that would give that much time when her practice was full of patients. She's also extremely compassionate and comes across as very knowledgeable. At one point I was mad when the nurses would not let me speak with her when I was stopping by to ask her a quick question (I was with my wife in the same building), but I will not hold this against her. She did call me the very next day in the early morning anyways. I totally disagree with filing such complaint against Dr Ramirez. Totally uncalled for.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ramirez for over ten years, Dr. Ramirez was also my mother's physician. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Ramirez she is the most competent, compassionate and comphrehensive physician I have ever encountered. She is devoted to her patients' well being and never rushes through the exam process; she listens to her patients' concerns and takes time to fully understand her patients' needs before addressing them. Dr. Ramirez is truly one of a kind. Betty

I have been a patient of Dr. Ramirez's for years. After a number of physicians not taking the time to understand my medical issues, she has been a breath of fresh air. She listens to her patients and takes the time to really research the underlying medical problems to come up with a holistic approach to deal with the issues. I can honestly say that I feel better since I started going to her than I did the entire preceding 8 years. She has been persistent and creative in treating my conditions and the results are starting to reward us for our efforts. That said, I take responsibility for my own health and ask questions and follow up on topics we've talked about before. I make sure we do the things we've agreed to do. From what I read of the complaint, it seems like an honest mistake happened and while the patient certainly has the right to be upset, I'm not sure what more she expected Dr. Ramirez to do. She took responsibility for the problem, promised to take corrective action, reimbursed all prior costs for the visits and allergy serum and offerred free visits and serum for the duration of the treatments. That seems fair to me. Also, unless there were life threatening allergies at stake here, I don't understand how the child was at significant risk or how there was emotional damages... Hopefully, this person will learn a valuable lesson and double-check what doctors and nurses are doing in situations like this. Even the best make mistakes some times so everyone has to be on their toes and assertive in their own medical treatment.

I've been going to see Dr. Ramirez for a number of years, and I can say that Bertha's experience is not representative of my own. I have had many doctors over the years and Dr. Ramirez is the most diligent and caring I've seen. By Bertha's own admission, Dr. Ramirez apologized for the trouble the mistake caused. She reimbursed her for the visits, and paid for the future vaccination. Most notably, Dr. Ramirez offered to see Bertha's daughter for free for every future visit regarding her daughter's allergy treatment. I don't know about the rest of you, but this sort of sensitivity and fairness is unprecedented in a physician. The above complaint appears to be nothing more than the bitter rant of an implacable malcontent. Dr. Ramirez is a fine physician willing to personally own up to the minor and harmless mistakes of her staff. It is a travesty that Dr. Ramirez should have her good name publicly besmirched in this way when so many lesser doctors commit actual, serious malpractice unreported. Spencer Houston TX
