Father And Son Moving And Storage And Neighbors Moving And Storage Jeff (S) store manager who doesnt apparently have a last name Neighbors Moving and Storage... BUYER/MOVER BEWARE!!! Internet
I was in the market for a pending move, and wanted to keep my friends, so I called around to shop for moving companies. About 10 days prior to our move I received an email with a "Special Discount Offer" from Neighbors Moving and Storage. I opened the email and saw it stated a discount could be applied to reduce original quote by over 30%. I called them to verify and was told "based on the size of your home and amount of items to move we recommend 4 men + 1 truck and do it over a 2 day period". I questioned them "dont you need to send someon here to see exactly what you are moving for the quote to be accurate"? I was to NO their movers are professionals with all being required to have at least 5 years experience or Neighbors will not let them work for them.
Day 1 arrives and the actual movers looked at all the items needing moved and initial qupte was "there is NO WAY we are going to complete this in 2 days, you need at least 6 men and 2 trucks to do the job right". I responded that exactly what I asked and their response was "our sales force is in FL and they say anything to get the job orders, we see this all the time" "by the way how far off was the quote"?
My initial quote for move was just over $2000 by the time this nightmare was all over I paid over double that amount and the ONLY good thing I have to say is at least the actual movers were nice and hard working.
I called for the manager (actually was speaking to him but he didnt let me know he was the manager on the initial call I found this out on later calls!) Found out his name is Steve S apparently he did not have a last name as he couldnt give it to me!
Steve S NEVER did anything he promised to do and I wound up filing a BBB suit. Today, after 3 months of back and forth with BBB and Neighbors, I get an email stating that BBB can no longer be of assistance as Neighbors "apparently closed" their Colorado Office?!?!?!
What a complete and total joke. If you want to make an already stressful situation worse, a move, then hire Neighbors as I assure you, you WILL NOT get what you are told.
