Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This scam was a creative way to steal money from people with no way to get caught.

It all started with parking our Honda Friday night after work near the front of our rowhome. The car was left unattended, as my husband and I used the other car to drive out of town the following Saturday. That Sunday we ran errands...remind you the Honda was not touched by either or us all weekend. When my husband went to go to work on Monday morning, the Honda was nowhere to be found. Thinking he just was in a hurry and could not find the car on such a busy street, we called the police department after a lengthy search later that evening. It was then confirmed that our car had been towed by Frankford Towing Company.

After speaking with the towing company, they stated that our car was towed from a private parking lot on a completely different street! (It was called in by the person who pays for the spot.) This is obviously not where the Honda was left on Friday evening. We asked to speak with the man that towed the car. He came out to personally let us know that the car was indeed there, and conveniently showed the scuff mark on the pavement that his truck left during the tow. We were completely dumbfounded and had no idea how our car got in that spot.

We went to pick the car up a couple of days later. It costs the max fine of $250, and they did not back down from that price. (Even after the 'tow-man' told us Paula could make it cheaper for us..."if we were nice to her.") They also CONVENIENTLY only except cash. WOW! What a shocker. We then declined to pay the fee and walked away. (It's $8/day for storage.)

I happened to speak with the owner of the famous spot on the following Friday to verify this incident. She said that the car was there as of 5:00 on Sunday...this would be the day we were running errands, specifically at the grocery store. The car is a standard. The car was CONVENIENTLY backed in - being front wheel drive. WOW! What a shocker. It was unlocked and our work badge was on the seat--when it is always left in the console.

With all being said, we will have to pay the $250 plus storage fees of $8/day. There is no other explanation of this incident. This business is probably making/stealing a ton of money from people. I plan on filing a police report and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I hope you do the same if something like this has happened to you. It may not get our money back, but will hopefully prevent it from happening to someone else.
