Most gyms have "memberships" and charge for the "membership" NOT the amount of times you've utilized it. Also, most gyms take 30 days in order to "process" your cancellation. All the terms should be in your contract, which sounds as though you didn't read. Now, I'm no stranger to being sold a membership that didn't pan out and feel free to see my experience with LA Fitness' Body of Change, but you have to take some responsibility. Use the contract to your advantage and use you imagination as I'm sure they have a cancellation clause that states something about medical issues. As far as them taking $....READ YOUR CONTRACT and next time....give them a credit card instead. This way you can always dispute the charges with your credit card company and you won't have to worry about NSF fees, etc. That's what I did and I received my $ back. Good luck
