Freehold township planning board loves to approve large developers on major subdivisions, but hasnt approved an individual trying to do a minor subdivision in at least 5 years. The township doesnt have a problem taking thousands in escrow fees and application fees from the individual, only to refuse application after application.

I always thought that escrow fees were refundable if not used.

i have yet to ever receive back a township escrow fee. Where does this money go? If the township uses all the money shouldn't they have an accurate accounting of the money used to prove it?

It seems to me that freehold township planning board is not looking out for the master plan of freehold township. If they were, maybe things would be reversed and the large developers would have the tough time getting subdivisions. it kinda makes me think they have some other interests in approving these large deals, while also charging astronimcal fees to the individual trying for minor subdiviosion releif only to get denied.

Now don't you think a town named "Freehold" should bring up something? Freeholders are rather spunky people who don't take SH* from anyone and fend for themselves vicously. Sorta like the Posse Comatatus...when it comes to letting people bully them around or take land or do anything against them. Should have looked that up prior to working in a town named for a group of people like that. Look up Freeholders online someplace and see what I mean...may as well slam your head full speed into a concrete wall. I feel for you.
