Fun For Life scammed me of approx $2K. Per the consumer protection act, I asked for a refund, they never gave it to me. They issued a cheque of $500, which bounced. The entire wholesale discount is a scam, and I've yet to get my money back. Mississauga Ontario
Fun for life is a wholesale travel discount scam.
I went to a bridal show, and filled a lot of win a honey moon ballots. Eventually got a call from a young girl re: opportunity to win free trips if I sit for 45 mins in a sales pitch presentation.
My husband and I eventually agreed, and handed a cheque for approx $2K. We later changed our minds, 2 days later after doing research on the company and notice several fraudulent claims. We cited the consumer protection act and the right to obtain a refund within 15 days. Also, there was immense pressure to sign all documents as there was a sales (several sales) persons surrounding us at every moment. We had no time to ourselves.
We got a lot of voice messages..no one at the office. Eventually got hold of the accounting department and they issued us a cheque for $500. This cheque bounced.
It's been a year and no refunds. What frustrates me is that in this country of freedom, companies are able to get away with this? Where is the CRA or police to audit this?
