All mail-in rebates are completed with the Manufactuerer

Future Shop is not at fault for the expiration or NSF of a mail-in rebate check. All mail-in rebates are completed with the Manufactuerer, and if problems arise must be taken up with the products parent company. For example, you would have to contact Kingston for further help in that situation. Future Shop is the company selling the product, but not the company who is paying out the mail-in rebate programs. The manufactuerer offers that to the company to advertise to bring a focus to thier product. I am sorry that you were burned, but you should have contacted Kingston Technologies for that. Thank you.

I too purchased some equipment from Future Shop and I submitted my rebate papers ON TIME and in good order. The store actually prints out a copy of your reciept for the rebate to send away. After waiting the prescribed amount of time indicated on the rebate form I had not received my money back yet. I went to the website printed on the rebate forms and checked for my rebate. The website indicated to me that I hadn't submitted the forms properly. (I can't remember the reason it gave) I called the phone number also indicated on the rebate forms and the person I talked to also told me that the forms were improperly submitted so I would not be receiving my rebate. Now I'm mad...lol...so I went to the store to see what's up. I was told by store staff that the rebates are issued and administered from a third party company, through the manufacturer and that I have to submit a form to the store and they will investigate it on my behalf. I said "NOT" and demanded that I be compensated immediately, and wouldn't you know it they said "OK". The manager who authorized the rebate told me that Future Shop's policy is to honour all rebates AFTER the due date if the customer has not received their rebate from the third party company. He also told me that probably 90% of customers DO NOT receive their rebates, but that obviously the rebate company is receiving their payments from the manufacturer. Sheesh, I can't believe the scams some companies pull off!
