only the first part of your response showed up--so it was taken out of context. Actually, I liked gold's gym. (especially the one in Tampa) What I don't like is the difficulty reaching somebody there (Manhattan Gold's) when I'm trying to close my membership. Since I had prepaid in full, I didn't think it was necessary to go through the certified letter routine. Seems like they're trying to drag it out...holding on to my dues when I haven't been in there in months.

I was trying to be helpful. The reason being is that a gym tried to rip off my folks off by using that 50 mile radius crap. So I though I'd pass on a few words of wisdom. We worked it out by using an address 50+ miles away. I don't make threats. I make promises.

That sounds like a threat. Are you making a threat here?

Some of those gym contracts say you have to be more then 50 miles away from any of their gyms. Not that particular gym. I don't know what gold's contract says but if you're in Tampa now and they have a gold's there, you may have a problem. Give 'em an address 50+ miles away from their nearest. Check your contract. Good luck.
