Gold's Gym Tyson's Corner refused refund of membership after injury Ripoff Vienna Virginia
After getting my initail menbership for myself and my husband two weeks and 1 day after signing their contract I had an accident and broke my left foot. I provided them with a doctors note still no refund. I contacted the BBB still no refund. I filed a complaint with the county of Fairfax still no refund.
Their contract states that in the event of an injury you can receive a refund, I still have not recieved my refund! I followed all protocol of their contract, sending a certified letter, providing a doctors note 3 different times to be exact... I am still being charged every month for a gym membership. I have used their facilities once. They have recently told me that they are investigating my claim against them. I have provided the doctors note, the certifed letter.. I now have paid them over $1200. for absolutely nothing and I am still being charged. I can not belive that they can legally pray upon people like this!
To make matters worse my husband never signed the contract thus it is not legally binding. He has never even been. Yet, they are still charging us twice per month for $39.99 $ 35.99.
This has gone on since last August! Why is this company not held accountable to the stipulations within their own contract??? While consumers are constantly reemed by their dishonest business practices. Avoid Gold's Gym if you can, they don't hold up their end of their said contract and are just looking to take advantage of people!
