Ms. T, I am a Customer Service Representative at Great Atlantic Warranty. For the purpose of this forum please address me as GAWHelpguy. I am posting here to help anyone who feels that they have been ignored or that their claim or request for refund was mishandled. We, as you say, sell a couple of different products. All of the insurance companies we deal with pay their claims. All claims are given equal attention and are reviewed by the insurance companies that issue the policies on a case by case basis. Claims are not denied based on the cost of the policy. I don't know what to tell you about a repair shop not being able to get in contact with the insurance companies. If I was a tech, and I was faced with the possibility of running a credit card or holding for a long moment with an insurance company, I might choose the path of least resistance. That doesn't mean the warranty is no good. Contact information for the mechanic to use is right on the front cover of your warranty documents, this contact information is used frequently by many customers who have no trouble reporting their claims daily. I don't know where the owners of the insurance companies live. If one lives in the Caymans, he is a lucky guy. The owner of Great Atlantic Warranty is known by the name he has had for all of his life, Michael Zambouris. He doesn't live in the Caymans, but right here in South Florida. All of the employees know his real name. Anyone can investigate us at any time. Attorney Generals offices are investigating this entire industry. As I'm sure that you are aware, there are many industries on which whole scale queries are being performed. We are not banned from doing business anywhere. Always think before you buy from anyone. Ask all the questions you can think of asking, every time.
