Regretably, this complaint is being written about a store I once had an immense love and passion for. Recently, myself and many other long-time stylist of the Haircuttery have been fired. These firings came after the hiring of a new manager and district manager whose management traits seem to run very much like a dictatorship. It would seem anyone who had any opionions or questions concerning the store, we all once happily worked at, were either written up or terminated. This philosophy was one I thought would only be prevelent in countries as Iraq, Cuba, ect..

Unforetunetly, these many stylist had no idea this was the direction a company we all loved was heading. Feelings of betrayal from this corporation are very much felt by not only the employees no longer there, as well, the few remaining whom dare not speak their concerns. It has been made very clear, keep your mouth shut or you as well will not have a job.

Personally, I lived and breathed the Haircuttery. What a fool I was. I would just like to let anyone considering working for this company know one day you are valued and the next you are no longer. Be careful about putting your resoures with a company that on whim because possibly your new district leader may not like you, know that you will be gone. With no concern at all and as we have all found, there is no recourse. As well, I would implore any customers who has read this passage know that a grave injustice has been done. Plese think about redirecting your monies away from this company who is allowing this form of dictatorship style management to thrive in thier business. When we as a nation stand up and use our purchasing power as our tool to end this aweful way companies use and abuse their employees, and when they have sucked you dry they dipose of you as one would an old rag. This practice is one we as consumers need to come together and boycott. Please inform of any other companies operating in this manner. I for one will join your boycott as well....................

I also once worked for this company

I worked for this company also. I too once loved working for this company. I was a manger of one of thier salons and tripled the business in this paticular salon. I kept a very satisfied staff. I retained my employees because we all had a deep respect for one another. I worked for this company for almost 10 years. For the last four I was the salon manager. Anyway, I too felt a shift in the way they were working and it wasn't a good one. They put me on probation because I was 2% under my budget. They put me on probation for not meeting a goal I created! They were going to 'fire' me so to speak as manager but let me stay at MY salon that I worked hard at. Instead I wrote a resignation letter and resigned. I began to look for another job even though I told them I would stay. Well to make a long story short, I quit and so did the rest of my staff. One I currently still work with at my new salon. I can see that they are still up to their old stuff. What is funny is that my old shop is around the corner and they can't keep a manager or staff and seems to be closed more than open. You can't treat your employees like this and expect them to stay. I loved this company and I still miss the OLD company. I hope it changes soon.
