Handyman James (James Qualman) Stole $1,000 dollars and wanted to steal my materials Livingston Texas
In August of 2017 my husband got to meet a contractor by the name Handyman James aka James Qualman. I need some bathrooms and flooring done at my house. He convinced me to meet him at Lowes where he would help me pick out materials needed for this project. He immediately took a 1,000 dollar deposit. He wrote it by pen on a piece of paper. At no time did he tell me or was it in writing on any legal document that it was unrefundable. I checked on my mb ateruaks at Lowes because they were Special Order items. Glad I did. It turns out that they were never put in my name or phone number. All the materials were registered to him I immediately contacted the Store Manager at Lowes who fixed the order and transferred everything back in my name. I am glad I paid for them by check so they had records. I fired him after that , before he touch anything in my house.I also found out from people that have been scammed by him. He is a continuing to scam more people and even partnering with other contractors to scam them out of money. He must be stopped!!
