Hawk Homes, Mt Jewiit PA, Rip-off Crooks unable to deliver as promised.
I had ordered a home from Hawk Homes on OCT 2nd and gave them a $500 down payment to lock me into the price of the home. The delivery date was to be December 10th. Then on the 19th we gave them anoher check of 10% which was a requirement of theirs for the production and delivery of the home.
I had called before Thanksgiving and they said that there was a problem with December 10th and it would be later than that but before Xmas. I called everyday from that point on and got no hard date from them. I had in the meantime contacted several persons at the Manufacturing company, New Era, and they informed me that Hawk Homes had never ordered it as they had stated. And also was informed by their lawyer to not "get into a pissing contest with them" that they were a good dealer for the company.
About December 10th, I had received a call from Shelly, my salesperson stating that the house was scheduled to be done January 23rd. With no delivery date given, I had even requested one and they said that they will not do that this far in advance.
So, Here I am with no home, paying rent and interest on a loan that I have nothing to show for it. They have offered nothing to me as far as retribution even when confroned with the fact that they failed to order my home when it was verbally agreed upon.
Since then I have known 3 people whom have also had the same problem with them. Whether they have met their sales quotos for the quarter and have pushed us all off I do not know but I would definately recommend that no one buys from these Crooks.

Hawk Homes is part of a company that has been selling homes for over 35 years. On average we deliver over 400 homes anually. When it comes to customer satisfaction, the industry norm is 85%. Hawk Homes maintains a 93% customer satisfaction rating. In other words, 12 of 13 customers are not only happy, but would refer a family or friend to do business with us. Our company has delivered and completed over 14,000 homes since 1967. With that being said, I found only one "rip off report".

Well, Feb. 13 we got our home, still not moved in yet! A window was broken the day it was set and still not replaced to date aand no site of when it will be done, their siding crew quit and went to North Carolina so its half sided, no word on that yet either, We ordered the house with one color carpet and we have two, they stopped today to fix it and sent a color that matches neither of the colors they gave us. So, now we pay mortage, utilities for our apt and house and rent. These guys are crooks be aware.
