Very sad. So when you pay this much money for a dog you expect the dog to be clean, healthy, and very well cared for.... What I got was a 10 month old puppy covered in dog poop, smelled horrible, had an ear infection, ends of ears cut off from being in a fight (and neck bites), walks odd (hip x-rays in process), and to top it all off upon vet visit found out the puppy had heart worms! I should have walked away immediately but I had put down a deposit and had really felt sorry for her. 10 months old - you would expect socialization, house trained, etc. What you get is a dog with no manners, pees and poops everywhere, etc. I know dogs in new environments have trouble but this is much, much different. The health guarantee basically you have to return the dog and you get your money back - really? How about you return our money to help pay for vet bills that are needed !!! Yes, return dog to breeder and basically condemn it to death because heartworm treatment is expensive....so that won't be done....what a miserable death.... I would not bother with this breeder, find someone who actually ensures puppies are healthy before selling. From what I experienced - paying a lot of money for a dog does not mean you get a better dog, just a ton of vet bills. I should have suspected something when I was not allowed an onsite visit. Any dog we have purchased we have always been allowed onsite for a visit - then you can see the conditions and how the dogs are treated, how they interact, etc. Absolutely horrible!!!

Vet report anyone? It is all that is needed. Proof from an outside party with a diagnosis.

Updating as original spelling was incorrect - please read other reviews. I am not the first person who has had issues with this dog breeder....

You can call someone a scam but first address the concerns on how the animal was kept and treated before you do this - all the statements that were written had nothing to do with the concerns that were brought forward about this person and how they treat their animals at their facility. Please explain key points that were not addressed - Ears chewed off and bite marks on neck. Why was the dog covered in poop and smelly upon delivery? Ear infection - per vet report. Heartworms? At the end of the day - treatment of the dog at where ever the she was kept was poor at best.

Mrs. Merrick inquired on a 10month old Great Dane female that she knew was not bred by me but I purchased her. I have txt messages to prove it. I told her I am rehoming her to a pet home for low cost. I also have txt messages from Mrs. Merrick stating I should have charged double for Harley that I was rehoming them too cheap. Mrs. Merrick inquired on the Dane 3wk prior to her picking her up. The pics were 2 days old and she inquired. Their was not a mark on the dog. Pics included. I have txt messages exchanged from myself and Mrs. Merrick about Harley and how she wanted to place a deposit to hold her cause could not make it down till the following week because they were leaving to OK. I did NOT tell her she could not see her first. Also have txt proof. She then changed the pickup date or time 3 different times. I have been out of town off and on for 2wks. When she wanted to pick her up Sunday I told her I would not be home but my fiancé did meet her at her designated time. While he met her she talked to him and interacted with the dog for an hour. Never once did she have any complaints about the dog. The dog was wiped down with a dry shampoo. While there Mrs. Merrick also stated she would like her sister if we were to part with her. NOT one complaint when she met the dog. I held the dog for 3wk for her and her changing her mind. The other 2 Danes that have been re-homed have not had one complaint. I told Mrs. Merrick if she was not happy with Harley bring her back and I will refund her money. In the end Mrs. Merrick has rescued dogs for free and that is what she wanted again. Mrs Merrick seen Harley before she paid her in full. I am NOT the breeder nor have I ever bred Danes but I only purchased her and Mrs Merrick was fully aware and has not told the whole story.
