Complaint Review: HOLIDAY INN - SAN ANTONIO Texas

I recentlty worked for the Holiday inn and suites in barboursville west virginia. I alos was shorted on my pay and hours. They refused to fix the problem. I also did not recieve an incentive pay that was coming to me in all total they owe me about 400.00. I too am contacting the labor board for compensated for my work.

And when you write a check, you agree to comply with the company's check-writing policy which states that you must wait 7-10 days. Don't like that policy? Then use a check card instead! This is 2006 people!!! Consider yourself lucky to find a retail establishment that accepts checks at all!!!!

He also thinks Wally World is ripping him off because they won't give him cash for returns paid for by check, before the check clears the bank. Yep, Ron White is correct. Some things can't be fixed. I purchased something with a check, and had to sign a form saying I agree to have the money electronically withdrawn. Now, they have their money. If I should have to return one of the items, there is no check to clear, yet I am suppose to wait 7 to 10 days? Why is that? The only ones being helped by the CHECK 21 bill, is business, and screw the working stiffs.

After reading your plethora of reports, I have yet to see anything of merit, anything that indicates you want to resolve your outstanding issues rather than just flap your lips and yak about them to whoever will listen. Robert from Florida- before you go correcting someone else's spelling (and calling them a rube) you really should learn how to spell properly yourself. The word is spelled criticizing.

It explains why WalMart won't keep taking his checks.

Since everyone is correcting spelling, how about the math. I am still trying to figure out how you get $40.00 if you work 4.5 hrs @ $8.00 hr. Is that possible, or some new type of math or bonus program I should know about.

Apparently, he starts right off by telling his new employer that he demands "respect" from them - and then if he doesn't get this "respect" he finds some other problems with the job. Things like the employer is racist, or sexist or is just picking on poor old Richard for reasons unknown. I tried earlier to help by explaining to him that respect was something you earn, not something you demand. His only response was to accuse me of working for Holiday Inn.

Try working harder and longer than just one week. How can someone truely assess a job after just one week. The management probably just docked you for the time that they caught you napping in one of the rooms.
