First off, before your purchase a Chihuahua from anyone, PLEASE do your research. Teacup, micro teacup, micro, or any other claims as such regarding to the adult size of the dog, is nothing more than a marketing term to make the puppy buyer believe what they are getting will be a very small dog. The truth is, there is no such thing as a teacup or micro, mini micro teacup etc etc. The American Kennel CLub (and the rest of the kennel registries) do NOT classify Chihuahuas or any other breeds as "teacup". What the breed standard says "not to exceed 6lbs". So Chihuahuas should be any size under 6lbs, but usually range between 3 1/2-5 1/2 pounds. Breeders have a weight chart they use to help gage the adult size of puppies by their weight at certain ages. With that said, with the very small dogs, comes many health issues such as hypoglycemia. They are a lot of work when they are super small; very fragile and require a lot of attention. Be careful what you wish for. Furthermore, no reputable breeder is making these claims and using the "teacup" or Micro teacup, etc etc. when referring to their puppies. You dont want to deal with anyone making these claims. Run away quickly. The Chihuahua Club of America has a breeder referral and can put you in contact with trust worthy, reputable breeders to find a well bred healthy dog and not make outrageous claims such as "teacup" or falsely promise adult size. Let the buyer beware.

I have a healthy 9 pound chihuahua from Hollywood Chihuahuas. Jack is still a small dog. I am not complaining and am happy with Jack. the breeder told me he was a toy and not a teacup. My husband and me might buy a smaller brother for Jack.

Im vanesa Semler owner of hollywood chihuahua this report is false never in 10 year I have hear or receive a claim like this. This person is a liar never contact me never buy a puppy from hollywood chihuahua. And is really funny that claim because we are the owner of world smallest dog miracle milly so no make sense breed big chihuahuas! This person no write his name write 15 lbs in the title after in the report description 12 lbs " I sure you are an ungry Breeder" who can compare with the quality of are akc chihuahuas!!
so no more to say about this false report people search hollywood chihuahua and you be find happy costumers and also more than 25,000 facebook page! This make ungry to some people or bredeers jeje
