Lori Bennett - HomeIQ Media Corporation - Bennett Construction Group HomeIQ Media Corporation CEO Lori Bennett Hires People Then Fires Them Before Payday Ocala Florida
Bennett Construction Group, Inc. is a fabricated project management company that does not exist.
It is a company that has been fabricated by Lori Bennett, which she purports to have been awarded the project management contract for a so-called "Northlake Golf and Country Club " which she alleges to be "located off of Highway 50 in SW Orange County/Lake County."
Lori Bennett's scam involves promoting BCG as the parent company of "HomeIQ Media Corporation." The common approach is for Lori Bennett to visit a Home and Garden retail center in Central Florida, tell them that she is the CEO of Bennett Construction Group, and that she is interviewing contractors and suppliers to see if their name should be added to the bid list for the Northlake project. Then she introduces a multi-media advertising opportunity that will provide said contractor or supplier with HomeIQ branding and advertising to set them apart from all of the incompetent, unlicensed suppliers and contractors in Central Florida. Her hope is that the contractor or supplier will feel obligated to buy the advertising package, in order to be included on the bid list for the Northlake project.
Lori Bennett has been accused by several former employees of fraudulent hiring practices, including promises of cars, laptops, cell phones, gas cards, lucrative salaries and commissions etc, which never materialize. She fires employees for "lack of performance" a day or two before their first payday arrives. In one case, an employee signed a 3-year employment contract, worked for 3 weeks, and was never paid. Lori Bennett told the Ocala Police that the individual was never hired in the first place.
If Lori Bennett offers you a job, insist on meeting her before signing anything, and make sure you get her physical address, and contact the Ocala Police or Marion County Sheriff's office immediately. A number of media companies are trying to have Sheriff's papers served for refusal to pay, but no one has been able to link her to a physical address.
