so you pay for them. Mobil-1 will keep you from having any more sludge issues. And why NOT buy a Toyota new? I bought my 1991 new and ran it for 323,000 miles until Jan 19 '07. That '91 DX cost me $13,000 fully equipped. I had $800 in repairs. That all totals to $13,800 or $825/year or 4.3 cents per mile. I just traded that '91 for $2000 against a new '07 LE V6 with VSC. How are you doing per mile and per year with your used cars? 'Used' is not the best buy when you buy a slow-depreciating car like a Toyota. They do not lose value fast enough to compensate you for all of the unknowns that come with ANY used car. The previous owner ALWAYS gets rid of their used car for a reason. Usually it is a bad reason (for you).
