Hi - what are the odds that someone who has actually used Mr. Pinkett would respond to my complaint here? It is also interesting to me that your questions seem to put me in a position where I need to defend my complaint, rather than discuss actually what the complaint is about.
Otto - while you may have been satisfied with your experience with Mr. Pinkett, I was certainly not for the reasons I state above. Your positive experience with Mr. Pinkett does not change my negative experience with the same.
As far as your question about overcharging...I don't recall specifically saying I was overcharged, instead that I was charged for items that were never explained to me. But, it sounds like you already know that from your statements. While the date when filing is due to the Federal and state governments is also not specifically part of my complaint - those dates did influence why I started filing my taxes in January 2012. The fact that is took Mr. Pinkett over 2 months to have my filing completed is a failure on the part of the service offered by this H&R Block location, and specifically, Mr. Pinkett.
Finally, Otto, this purpose of this site is to document bad experiences, which is exactly what I did. You are right, I didn't expect/want to be yelled at - which is enough to file a complaint against Mr. Pinkett for bad customer service, but more to the point - I did not hire H&R Block to file my Federal and state income taxes over a 2 month period, incorrectly enter information on my tax forms, or have to pay for the privilage of reviewing the work before it could actually be filed. It seems, Otto, you are not "missing" anything, just overlooking what my complaint is actually about - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and unexplained charges. Adequate service is not H&R Block's motto, is it? Thanks for taking the time to stick up for Mr. Pinkett - unfortunately, he was the worst tax agent I've ever had.

Hi -- I've used HR Block and Mr. Pinkett at this location.
He generally was okay, not fast, but I attributed that
to the rush near April 15th.
Still, he did get things done on time.
My question -- waht were the overcharges for?
If you are resident in the Netherlands, your
return was not due until 15 June, not 15 April.
Also, from what you wrote, it seems that
the return was filed ab out 5 weeks after
you gave Mr. Pinkett the information, but
well before April 15th.
So I am not quite sure what the problem was.
Obviously, you don't want to be yelled at,
but it seems that you rec'v'd adequate service.
Is there something I'm missing?
