I saw this product, Hydroxatone, on the television which offered a "free" trial for $6.95 shipping and handling.

When the merchandise came, there were three (3) full jars of Hydroxatone and a bill for the $6.95 S&H and $209.06 for the three jars...no free sample was included.

When I attempted to return the merchandise, I called for an entire week to get someone from their customer service to give me instructions on how to return the product.  I was put on hold, which lasted for eon and no one ever came on line. Or, I would get a recorded message telling me to return the call, all reps were busy.

The 30 day return policy, guaranteed if not satisfied, was fast approaching and I went ahead and sent the merchandise back so I would not go over the 30 day period. Now I see in the brochure that if I did not include a special code on the outside of the return package that they would NOT accept it.

I have called my credit catd company and instructed them not to pay the bill but have not heard back from them.  I continue to call Hydroxatone without getting any response...I only have a cell phone and am burning minutes attempting to call this bogus customer service line.

I hope that the FCC or Better Business Bureau is receiving complaints and does something to stop this type of fraudulent advertising and sending merchandise not ordered in order for them to hook people into a scam of a membership.

How To Stop Their Billing

#2Consumer Suggestion

Thu, January 20, 2011

If you gave them your bank account number, you will have to tell your bank to shut down your account and give you a new one. Most banks will do this for no charge and even transfer all your legit ACH withdrawals to the new account, too. Your only expenses will be if it is a checking account then, obviously, you will have to buy new checks.

If you gave them a credit card, don't even bother arguing with the credit card company about the charge. Just call up your credit card bank and tell them you lost your card. They will immediately close the account and send you a new card and the scammers will NOT be able to bill you any more.
