Icon Security Taking Avantage of Senior Citizens-Beware of Travelling Salepersons Provo Utah
A salemans from Icon Security came to my mothers home and said that he would like to update her home alarm system. (She has a active contract with ADT). The saleman told her that the only changes would be a larger keypad with pictures of very important service, fireman, police, medical. and a remote.
The problem is that she is currently under a contract with ADT until June 2008.
Icon security knew this because they just but their equipment on top of ADT.
When I notice there was a new security pad, it was too late to cancel the new contract with Icon.
I phone and mailed in letters to Icon to have them void this contract, because at the time of this contract my mother had just be released from a rehabilation center for head trauma. I also provided Icon a letter from her Doctor (per Icon request) stating that she was not capable to make any dicision.
I was told via phone conversation that they will cancel this contract as of Feb 2008, but I received in writting that Icon cannot cancel this contract.

That's too funny!! I do service work for Icon and can tell you they are the worst of the worst. I have on several occasions serviced accounts for their customers and was disturbed by their installation methods. Exposed wires, non-existant line seizure and customer who were not shown how to use the system that they are paying for.When I see a service call for an Icon customer I already know that I will be there for awhile because of the shodddy work performed at time of installation. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DIRECT SALES COMPANY THAT JUST HAPPENS TO SELL ALARMS. Security companies like this should find another niche in sales other than protecting people and their belongings. Try selling soap, magazines, or cars. Really pathetic to take advantage of people. ICON gives good security companies a bad name!!!!

I have had my fare share of encounters with security system companies, and i can tell you that ICON security is the best one out there by far. I have met the owners, and delt with the managers, and can tell you that they are trustworthy and kind hearted people. Other security system companies out there (not to name names) give this company a bad reputation with their greedy and lying salesman. Icon Security and their employees truly care about the services they are providing you with, and are passionate about pleasing their customers. My husband has worked for other security system companies in the past, and it was nothing but awfull experiences. By a blessing from God, he was offered a position in this company, and it has truly been a gift. The famiy friends and relatives that have Icon Security can do nothing but say how much they love them. After dealing with this company for the past year, i have nothing but wonderful praises to sing of them. I am truly sorry for the bad experience you had with this company, but feel the need to let others know how wonderful they have been to us, and their other customers.
