Recently I was downtown at a bus stop and realized I forgot my cellphone. I didnt want to go to an ATM machine and get a 20 to break for change. So I decided to use my debit card to make a local phone call from a payphone. Anyway I did this twice 1st the call lasted 2 minutes. I hung up. the next one lasted about 30 seconds (I called a cab). When I got home I decided to check my debit card charges online. I have an H&R Block Emerald Card.

At first they charged me 5 dollars for each call. I was so Mad! But I just thought to my self "last time I do that". Then the next Day I go to take my Last 20 out of an ATM and i get an insufficiant funds notice. That cant be, I had a balance of 27 last nite. I go home to check my balance, and its negative 10 dollars !!!! Turns out the 5 bucks for each of those calls was just a holding charge! They charged me $24 for the 2 minute call. And now they want $22 for the 30 second call. I called ILD customer service For one, They were rude and unsympathetic. And basicly they said that once I agreed to use there service they could charge my card how they see fit.

I cant believe this is legal! It probably isnt but its so much of a hassel trying to rectify the situation that you just give up any way nobody was any help, not them or my debit card company. I should have just got the 20 bucks out of the ATM and broke it for change.
