I responded to a pop-up ad with this company offering a free trial of tablets to "lose weight" for $1.95. What I got was a package of 7 vitamins and an exercise band for $1.95. I figured it was only $1.95. THEN, a few days later there was another charge on my credit card for $29.95. When I questioned them about it, they stated it was for a "forum" that I could access at anytime. I have no idea how to even access this "forum."

I attempted to contact them on many occasions...a customer service rep by the name of Sonja RUDELY stated that I would not get a refund and promptly hung up on me.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. They will fraudulently charge your credit card, dispite the fact that you may have a receipt with a different amount on it.

I could never get past this Sonja to a supervisor, named Jenny, or to the owner, David.

PLEASE BEWARE!

EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back!

HERE IS WHAT RIP-OFF REPORT SUGGESTS YOU DO:

Go to your bank within 60 days of the charge, or as soon as you know about the charge, don't delay, and tell them that there has been fraudulent activity within your account. Explain that you wish to file a dispute, and demand that they assist you in accordance with Federal Regulation E.

According to the majority of victims interviewed by Rip-off Report, those who immediately called their banks to dispute the charges did not get very far. Many victims got the following responses from their banks: we could not do anything for you or you waited too long; it has been more than 60 days.

If the bank is says that you have waited too long, explain to them how you called their 800 number as soon as the charges were found, and were told by the bank that nothing could be done. Remind the bank that they failed to assist you properly at the 800 #, and instead, provided you with an inadequate explanation of your right to dispute. Tell the bank that it's their fault time has expired, and since they gave you the wrong info to begin with, they will just have to deal with it, take the loss and reverse the charges.

Tell them the truth; this was unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing how you never authorized anything! Direct them to the hundreds of victims reports that were filed on Rip-off Report.com. And if you're at the bank, walk them over to their computer and make them go to this site! If you are on the phone with them, tell them you will wait while they access this site! Either way, be persistent!

DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!

Let them know nicely, that you were advised to Report them (the Bank) and this situation to the Banking Commission in your state. Since each state has a different name for the agency/controller over banks, find that name before you call or get to the bank so you can throw it in their face. The more knowledgeable you appear to be, the further you will get.

And just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the supervisor or the area manager for all the branches in the state.

Let the bank personnel know you are meeting with the media later in the day, that you would much rather they do the right thing (as most other banks have) by looking at the complaints and immediately reversing the charge(s) to your account; no matter how long ago it was. Be sure to call the Media if necessary so you are telling the truth.

If you have to, be loud (but nice) in front of other customers. If you are just calling by phone, the above tactics should still work. The bank can easily fax or mail to you the Federal Regulation E dispute form.

CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD

If the charge was to your credit card (not debit card, check card, or checking account), contact the credit card company as soon as possible to request a dispute form. Consumers usually have a little longer to dispute fraudulent credit card charges (up to 6 months), but it is better to act right away. In this type of situation, credit card disputes are usually successful since fraudulent companies often won't contest the disputed charge. In rare cases, credit card companies will review disputes, but refuse to reverse the charges. If this occurs, complain to a manager and let them know you will be filing a report here.

Remember Don't let them get away with it! Make sure they make the Rip-off Report .. The more Reports filed on a Company or individual, the more likely it is that the authorities, media and attorneys will want to take action.

And good luck Let us know how you do!

I have My Facts Straight

It is interesting that the rebuttal does not address the others who have written complaints, or the fact that others refer to the company and associate them with a trucking co, etc. I did run a check and there is a trucking company and a produce at that same address, as well as Complete Weightloss AND Livewell Consulting. I have as of yet to get a response from the supervisor. I am getting quicker response from this website than I am by phone or email from the company. I have taken the steps offered by this website regarding getting my funds back from the unauthorized use of my bank account. Complaints have been filed with the BBB, this website, my bank and with the host website that promoted this company. Please BEWARE! I AM NOT the only one complaining and this is not the only complaint out there of the EXACT same problem with this EXACT same company.

Hello, We are not a company blaming the customer and I apologize if that is how you read the last message. We are only stating to read your terms and conditions more clearly before placing an order, as well keeping the facts straight if you are going to put them on this site for others to read. Also we are a weight loss company, the company is called the Complete Weight Loss Center, and we sell Insatrim, Womens Ultra Slim, along with a few other products, including the online support program. We are not part of a trucking company or a produce company. Please know your facts before you present them to others.

Blame the Consumer?!?

It's amazing that a company would want to blame the individual. That doesn't sound like good business practice, especially when there are many other people saying the EXACT same thing I am. I was not offered a way to speak to the manager and I in fact did send an email to her after being given the email address. Interestingly enough, there was no reply. This company, after further research has at least three other companies operating from this address...trucking company, produce company, etc. I don't appreciate their attitude in dealing with consumers, and I am not the only one saying so.

Hello, I just wanted to respond to Christine's message. My name is Sonja and I work for the Complete weightloss center. First I would like to establish that you ordered a 7 day trial package, which included 7 days worth of Ultraslim, 7 days worth of the dieters vitamin, a toning band, and 7 days of online support. On this note I would like to suggest including all of the facts and products that were ordered by you instead of leaving certain things out. Also when you placed your order online there was a user agreement that we asked that you read and understand and we have a box online for you to check once you in fact have read and understand the terms and conditions. Upon submitting your order, you are sent a confirmation email with your name, address, and shipping price. On this email confirmation sheet is a register link for you to access and use that online support for the first 7 days, free of charge. As stated in the user agreement, there is a monthly memberhsip fee of $29.95, if you do not contact customer service to cancel the account. You did not cancel your account in the amount that was stated in the user agreement. The agreement also stated that you would be locked into a 3 month minimum if you did not cancel, however I cancelled out the remaining 2 months for you so that these charges would not apply to your account as well. Also I had offered you the manager's email and you did not want it, so I did offer you a way to talk to Jenni, you were not able to speak with her at the time because she was not in her office. As well just to clarify as to why the phone call was terminated. You were screaming and yelling and being extremely rude, I had asked you to stop and you kept on yelling. I would advise using better business practice when talking with people and you may have understood all of this better. I would also suggest that if you do not agree to a program of any kind with any business, do not purchase the program. It is very unfair that you would blame the company for something that was given to you on the website or in any contract that you yourself looked up and visited to then decide to blame the company because you decided you didn't want to pay for the charge. In closing, have a nice day.
