I was contacted by phone by someone with the INA. First let me say she had me going. I am a retired nurse with 32 years of service. She was very nice on the phone. She said I had been selected for the 2018 INA Outstanding Nurses and there was no charge for membership that she just needed to get a more detailed account of my remarkable 32 years of nurses and any awards or merits that I had earned. That I would get a chance to review and tweak the biography before they print it. I thought WOW. This is really nice. I noticed that this phone number had tried multiple times this month to reach me so I thought this must be important. So when we finally talked I felt as though we already knew one another. The information sharing took about one hour and then came the sales pitch. It would cost $798 and she needed me to pay up front because prepping and drafting the autobiography incurs company costs so payments are required up front. RED FLAG. I told her I needed a day or so to think this over and then she offered me a lesser package and said I could upgrade at any time. I told her I needed to pull them up on the internet and make sure this is not a scam...just to be careful. $798 is not a small sum of money and I needed to be sure. She said she could not hold off on the payment it needed to be made now and all she needed was my bank information and she could email me all the links and contact information. I could see she was not listening to what I was saying. I hung up on her. She did not call back. She did not email me anything either. BE CAREFUL NURSES. THIS IS A SCAM!
