Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

on or about Nov 14 2013 I received and unsolicited call from a man named Scott, no last name no business introduction just "hey gimme a call"

I called to find out its a bankruptcy attorneys office something i had been looking into i Don t know where they got my contact info.

i sub-sequentially talked with Scott a couple more times to explain my situation to him to see if he could help in any way he said he could,

so I agreed to be sent information on their services. i was asked to create a payment plan, and was led to believe that i was under no agreement until the balance was payed.  i still have yet to sign a single document, or agree to a direct line of arbitrary questioning. I provided a credit card number for the first payment of $50.00 dollars toward my quoted total cost of services of $1200.00 to be paid December 1st 2013 on November 19 2013. i realized i had provided an old inactive credit card and promptly sent an email advising them of this, and to please contact me for an alternate method of payment,

i was never contacted they instead charged my card and assessed a $25.00 nsf fee. I then spoke with a man named Matt, who told me that my payment issues were taken care of he took my valid card number and we set a new payment arrangement, for the following month all was well or so i thought, soon after this i received a lump sum settlement from the VA so i was excited to pay this bankruptcy bill and get the ball rolling, i called to pay the bill and $1200.00 a man named quarice answered the phone and couldn't care less to assist me, suddenly my $1200.000 turned into $1500 i was shocked and infuriated and i felt lied to i now know that i had been, the whole time, i asked to cancel the whole thing, I was then threatened with a $250.00 retainer fee plus costs i asked for a supervisor, he offered a discount and knocked it down to $1380.00 with court filing fee included i was still done at this point so i was transferred to Matt again, who smoothed things out for the time being and he then took my payment, on 12 6 2013.

on or about a week later, i called the firm to notify them that i had received a substantial payout for retroactive disability and i wanted to know if this would effect my bankruptcy, i left a message on their machine, i received a call back from somebody i have never spoken with before, claiming to be an expert in these matters, i explained my situation to him i told him that i paid some large prior legitimate business debts to a family member, and my legal fees out of the money, i was then read the riot act about how i was insider trading and there is no way for me to qualify for chapter 7 i had to do chapter 13 now and i have to wait a year before i could file, i was beyond fed up at this point i told him to cancel this account and issue a refund he said the president Jason Allen would contact me to resolve this matter,

from that day on i have been waiting for a call, i emailed Matt several times regarding this issue and have received to reply since i forked over my money, i called them today to ask for the reason for them not addressing my issues, i was met with a very hostile woman that told me my case was closed and i would receive full refund in 45 days i agreed to this at the end of the call, as i would still get my money back i would just have to wait, I received and email from Jason Allen this evening 12/12/2013 enclosed was his close out accounting form indicating that i am only owed a refund of $325.00 of my $1300 legal fee which was in reality $1380.00, due to bogus time charged to handle my case, including: 84 minuets of phone calls, honestly roughly 10 of those min were when i was even their client, the rest were spent casting the line and pulling me in to their scam, 126 min spent reviewing and analyzing and correction of client documents, of which i have NEVER sent them one page of documentation in conjunction to my bankruptcy and financial information, a filing of 306.00 and an NSF fee

I would only be satisfied in this mater by a full refund of $1380.00 the amount i payed to receive legal representation in bankruptcy court for which i received zero representation, just a real bill for fictitious services rendered, I.e. $306.00 court filing fee with 55 dollars being refunded

I payed this money under the impression i was contracting a professional, courteous, kind, compassionate and caring law firm that has mine and my financial situation at heart and not a quick buck with a disgraceful attempt at customer service, under a facade of hope for my financial future which was the dangling carrot used to draw me in. along with the false promises and lies from a silver tongue which was the gun used to rob me of my money
