Hello, You should have taken the truck directly back to the mechanic who installed the motor. This way Jasper would not have a foot to stand on if it was a malfunction caused by Jaspers re builders. If not it would have shown it would have been the mechanic who installed the motor the first time. When you accepted the truck, it means you accepted the truck in good running condition. You should have towed it right back to him and had him go through it. You legally did not have to pay the bill until the truck ran properly. With 3500 or so miles on it and months later I believe legally you are out of luck getting any type of payment back. In the future, I suggest you not accept any thing that is brought in for repair or something bought new until after you completely check out what ever you had repaired or bought new. This is my opinion, I hope it helps you or someone else in the future. I went through something like this a few years back and I won in court because, I took it directly back to the shop before I signed for it and test drove the Chevy Blazer S-10. Well they did all the corrections with no fuss and I was very happy after that and the truck ran fine and still does. What was found that the timing chain was not installed properly.

I am sorry you chose to have a very poor installation on your engine replacement. Jasper does not send engines with "junk" inside thier engines. Sounds to me like whomever installed your engine did not do the proper cleaning to ALL the parts that was removed and reinstalled on the Jasper replacement engine. You should not blame Jasper for "your" mechanic's im competence. Sorry I just call them as I see them. Do you "think" that maybe your mechanic missed a lot and just blaming Jasper ?????????
