I was looking at prices all around the internet for new DSLR cameras. I recently stumbled upon Fumfie.com and saw that they had amazing prices for pretty much every major brand of DSLR. They say they are a Jersey-based company that went to the WWW to expand. I read some of the customer testimonials that they had on their site and they seemed too good to be true. Like this one: blixx008 ? 05/28/2009 Ordered a Sony Cybershot 9.1 megapixel. They didn't have the exact model that I ordered, so they gave me a higher model for the same price. Great service, prompt shipment, good products. I would definitely order from fumfie again. http://donwiss.com/pictures/brooklynstores/h0071.htm has some interesting information regarding the entity that is JerseyPhoto/Fumfie.com. Also, see report #451504 on this site.

they dont want to directly respond to the problem at hand becasue they do this for EVERY ORDER and they admitted it on the phone. they buy greymarket camera kits, break them down, sell them as new and unopened to unknowing customers and then make more profit. some of the lenses that came with the kit had FINGERPRINTS and dust on them despite the fact that they were "brand new and never opened" Their 10,000 or whatever happy customers doesnt mean anything. No offense to these customers, but they probably didnt know what they were really getting becasue they didnt look closely at it. Also, they might not know the difference between good and bad accessories of which none of the accessories were good that came with the kit. Most of the positive reviews said things like "great camera" which obvisouly if you buy a canon or a nikon etc. your getting a great camera, but they didnt know it was greymarket or that there was no warranty so their rating means nothing To Jerseyphoto: respond to the issue at hand. the point of this report isnt to ensure a refund, its to warn people of the scam that you setup and why they should avoid it. Respond to why you dont provide the quality accessories that are listed in your ebay listings, why you give open items as new and unopened and why fingerprints would ever be found on a brand new lens. and stop trying to bash other companies like Apple and Nike. I have always ordered apple products and they have never once messed up my order. do your job right or face the consequences

I'd be interested in knowing exactly why the filer of this report recieved a grey market camera and cheap accessories when that is not what he ordered.

As a longtime employee of Jersey Photo, I am greatly disturbed by this "ripoff-report." Before responding directly to this report, I'd like to note that Jersey Photo has over 100,000 satisfied customers. Out of all our customers, a fraction of one percent of our customers encounter a problem. Although this is such a great minority of our customers, we still get distressed over every single customer that is not wholly satisfied. Therefore, Jersey Photo does everything in its power to leave every customer happy that they purchased something from Jersey Photo. Unfortunatley, due to the fact that Jersey Photo serves so many consumers, it is inevitable that mistakes do sometimes occur. This does not only apply to Jersey Photo, but any major corporation or powerseller one can think of, such as Apple or Nike. Being that we are a powerseller, we do admit that mistakes could have occured with specific orders. However, we do guarantee that all of our products are 100% brand new and we always offer to everyone, including this gentleman, a full return policy. Regards, Bob Mayer Jersey Photo Employee
