I purchased 6 items from jewelryroom.com and two of the items arrived missing a stone. I emailed them as they have no phone number listed on their site for customer service. I received the following text back:

"Thank you for bidding on JewelryRoom.:We have a strict inspection before shipping. So it is very rare that this kind of case would occur.The stone must fall our during the transit,please kindly check if the missing stone are in the package,then you can fix it in your local store and we will offer you $30 discount.Please advise.

Sheila,Or you can return the items for replacment(no extra fee will be charged).Thanks.

Or you can return it to the following address for refund,we will just refund the bidding price, remember that original shipping fee will not be refunded .But what I could do for you is, I could waive the 15% restocking fees. We will process your refund when our delivery department confirm & inspected the item.Thank you and Hope this help!

We strongly recommend making a note in the parcel before sending it back to clarify there things 1) The reason of this return

2) Auction number, Invoice number 3) Replacement or Refund Only by doing so, we can deal smoothly with the case properly when we have received the return.

The stones were not in the packaging - I checked carefully, so the stones were missing when they sent the jewelry out. With any of the options, it is costing me additional money to fix damaged merchandise - that is not a good way to do business. The two items missing stones were among the least expensive of what I purchased. (Total purchase was $519) I've decided to chalk this up to a valuable lesson learned and not do business with ths company anymore rather than to spend any additional money to resolve a situation that was in no way my fault.

Be aware of doing business with this company - if there are problems with the merchandise, they will supposedly fix it, but at your expense.
