So we rented a house from a guy named Jon Farleo who owns Red Door Realty and JMF Property Mang. (he is not the owner just manages the house) In Olean NY. All was going well for the first few months and then stuff started going wrong with the house, like the downstairs has a leak from the garage that ran into the family room that was right next to it, so we called him and for about 2 months he did nothing about it, so finally when we told him that there was black mold in the house he finally sent a "handyman" up there to take a look, and you know what the handyman did to get rid of the mold, he sprayed it with some bleach and water(what a great way to get rid of it..lol) so after him basically not doing anything about the problem we get a phone call from him telling us that one of the owners was killed in a car accident and they wanted to sell the house(mind you we were about 4 months into a one year lease) so he asks me if I would be interested in purchasing the house and I told him we might be and we would look for financing if we decided to purchase it and I would be in contact with him if we were intested.

Not even 1 week later this guy starts calling me asking me what was going on with my financing and if I was gonna buy it I told him when we made a decision we would be in contact with him, but he couldn't wait he started calling us 3-4 times a week asking us whether we were going to buy it or not(never meet anyone so pushy) it got to the point where I had to ask him to quit calling us because it was becoming annoying, so I went down and wanted to get a copy of my lease because I wanted to make sure I was covered, when I went to get a copy of my lease come to find out that he had never even signed the lease, he signed it right in front of me after we had been living there for about 5 months(can we say illegal?) so I got my copy and left.

Later we decided not to buy the house because it wasn't even close to worth the asking price and we told him that we would pass, but we still had time left on our lease so we would weigh our options and if we could find a new place we would move so that he could sell the house. All of a sudden this guy starts calling again and asking can I show the house, And I told him No We are private people and don't want anyone in our house, this really pissed him off, pissed him off to the point where he sent us a letter stating that we breached our lease by hanging our lcd tv on the wall(only uses 2 small screws..lol what a joke) so finally we found a new place and decided to do him a favor and move out.

Because he was practically begging us to move so he could sell it, (he must not sell to many house's and really needs the money) so we move out and leave the property in better condition then when we moved in, this guy is making all these stupid claims of how we breached the lease with the most stupid excuses so he doesn't have to give us our security deposit back. this is what it breaks down to, we rent house, s**t happens owner and realestate agent wanna sell house, tenants don't wanna buy house, pisses realestate agent off, and now he is trying to find any excuse not to give us our security deposit back?

What a Joke, this isn't about the money because I don't need it, it is about moral and honesty which Jon Farleo of Red Door Realty and JMF property mang of OLEAN NY don't HAVE!! If your ever thinking about renting or buying a house from this guy THink Twice because you will regret it in the long run. I will be suing Jon Farleo and any company he represents. I worked for Red Door in 2008 they are a great company to work for and treat everyone great. Jon Farleo is my Uncle and he is a great guy. I don't think he deserves all of these rude comments about him or red door because I worked for them and when a job needed done he had it done.

I am very familiar with Jon Farleo of Red Door Realty and his crooked ways. He handles property for a lot of absentee landlords and believe me, their best interests are not what he is after. I happen to know of an investor from California that uses Farleo to manage property for him in Allegany County. Farleo double charges this man for repairs that are never done properly; he is rude; inconsiderate; and down right crooked. I could go on forever with specific details about this man and his side kick Katie but I dont have the time or energy. Just beware and avoid Jon Farleo; red door realty; & jmf property management.

I tried to resolve this matter with John Farleo but he is just a complete con artist, and yes my father does own a real estate company which has been in business for over 30 years. John is just mad because the truth came out and he is an a*****e! DO NOT RENT FROM HIM BECAUSE YOU WILL END UP GETTING RIPPED OFF!! TAKE IF HOW YOU WANT BUT THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED AND I AM STICKING TO MY STORY THAT HE IS A CROOK, HE IS JUST MAD BECAUSE HE GOT BUSTED!!! AND NO I WASNT MAD BECAUSE HE WOULD'T RENEW MY LEASE I WAS MAD BECAUSE HE RIPPED ME OFF, IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME ACTUALLY CALL HIM AND REQUEST PICS OF THE PROPERTY AFTER I LEFT BECAUSE I CAN PROVIDE THEM TOO!!

My name is Jon Farleo, Owner/Broker of both JMF Property Management and Co-Broker of Red Door Realty. I have been in the real estate field for the better part of twelve years. Myself and my agents pride ourselves on our honesty and ethics not only in the real estate field but also our private lives. Red door Realty is one of many real estate agencies in the Olean area and although some agencies do property management, JMF Property Management is the only full service property management agency for miles. As for the report filed by "Maximus" or as we like to call him Roman Gabriel, son of Tom Gabriel of Gabriel American Realty Co. located here in Olean N.Y. 14760. I am not sure what Romans affiliation is with his fathers company, I assume he works for him in some capacity do to the fact that most of Romans rent was paid with company checks and most correspondence was on Gabriel American Realty letterhead. Anyway, Romans report is nothing more than fabrication, a disgruntled tenant upset because we would not renew his lease. Although he does bring up some actual ocurrences, they are grossly distorted . Yes he did rent from my company, yes he did have a one year lease, and I think thats where the truth or at least the whole truth stops. I do not have the time or the disire to go through all of the facts of Romans report. Ask yourself one thing, if everything Roman says is true why didn't he use his real name instead of a fictional charactor from a movie. Roman is nothing more than a disgruntled tenant with nothing more to do with his time than sit on the computer at four in the morning filling out false reports and signing me up for whatever he can to make my life miserable, all because I would not renew his lease or return his security deposit do to damages he caused and garbage removal. Roman, you can sign me up for as many web sites, magazines, dating services and colleges as you want, the truth will come out and when it does, I'll be the one standing. Everything has been settled with this company. He made good on this and we are COMPLETELY satisfied with the outcome of this. Thank you Jon Farleo and Red Door Realty for Fixing this situation and I guess this guy isn't so bad. Thanks Jon for making things right..
