3 words that Justin Betesfandiar knows nothing about.
I really do unfortunately regret what I am about to say, but in the end Justin it was your fault.
I
purchased a 1972 Pontiac Ventura last October 2009 and got with Justin
and had him inspect the car. The car had its problems and needed a lot
of work but after talking with Justin we were both excited about having
the work done to it for the car defiantly had potential to be runner /
nice car.
So as Justin started tearing into the car more and
more hidden stuff came about and the invoice kept going and going. I was
able to make payments on the invoice which I was very appreciative for
honestly I didn't buy the car to fully restore it and am just a guy
living week to week.
So the more friendly I started becoming with
Justin the more I noticed my car was shifted to the back burner due to
other customer cars being brought in. I being the nice guy I am just
shrugged things off and mentioned I would really appreciate him getting
back to my project. So this went on for quite some time ... me calling
and bugging him to get back to my car, I didn't yell and didn't get
angry, just stressed how important it was to get my car done. So after
awhile Justin started telling me I'm doing this today or ordering that
and then when I went to the shop I discovered everything he had told me
was a complete lie and everything was sitting in the same spot as it was
the last time. Justin proceeded to tell me this and that and everything
pretty much contradicted what he had told me over the phone. Even after
being lied to I still kept my cool and just wished for the best at that
point.
By this time my car had shop sh*t all over it and
through it, empty cups and drinks all over, old bags of fast food and
other car parts that had nothing to do with my car on top of it. Talk
about taking care of property that belonged to the customer.
So
months go by and more months go by ... little work is done. And by this
point Justin pulls a disappearing act and doesn't show up to his shop
for two weeks. I go by a couple times a week and talk to his assistant
about what is going on and he has no idea what's up. I call Justin but
his voice mail box is full, he disconnected his business number and
pretty much falls off the face of the earth. So one day I catch him
while he is in the shop and he explained to me he was going through some
personal things in life and honestly I am human I tried to give him a
little time thought maybe if he got his sh*t together he would be back
at work soon enough and everything would be back to normal once again.
Well guess I was wrong ... for missing he went.
At this point I
realized with Justin not being at his shop and customer cars not being
worked on including my own the shop was not making any source of income.
If I didn't take some type of action I was going to loose my car and
every part in his shop.
I called Justin and told him that I
needed something from my car and I needed to get in his shop. Text after
text after waiting 3hrs outside his shop he finally showed up and I
told him "Your Done" ... flat bed is on its way.
So I picked my car up July 7, 2010 - 10 months of being in Justin's shop and the car was never finished.
I
went back to his shop here and there picking up miscellaneous things
that I had forgot and his shop ended up be empty the last time I went.
Couldn't keep up with his rent he said and was looking to re open in a
cheaper place with a working lift.
I asked him if he could finish
a few things on the car just to make it run right, but in the end you
couldn't even keep that promise could you bud.
Justin ended up taking me for a little over $3000 in cash - (Yeah paid him cash up front)
My car is hot wired - Meaning you can start it up but it won't turn off unless you pull the distributor wire out.
Tranny pan was put on by his helper and all fluids have leaked out
The tilt column he installed the gears aren't lined up right so park is reverse and reverse is park
Rear window and body have plenty of repairs to be done
I could go on and on ........
(BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT TRUST JUSTIN BETESFANDIAR)
Do not give him cash up front Do not let his hack helper work on your car Do not trust anything he says to you In fact do not ever take your car to him
Justin
Betesfandiar may be a young prodigy mechanic and be able to do some
pretty amazing customizations to any car ... but he knows nothing about
business, how to run a business and should not be in business.
Justin
if you read this I wish nothing but a hard life for you. I hope
struggle and a problematic life is the path that finds you. Friend I was
nothing but patient, well mannered and just generally nice to you in
our dealings. You are just as un-honorable as all the rest out there in
the world.
