Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I've tried to be patient with this company but sadly they simply are not responsive after your move. The estimator Dale Hintz promised a variety of services during the quote phase that were not completed. They were supposed to pack all furniture in pads, pack my mattress in a carton and pack a free standing mirror in a carton as well. In fact the estimator told me that this was required by King Van since the #1 insurance claim they received was damaged mattresses. So even though I didn't think necessary, I agreed. The quote for these extra services was $73 for the mattress & carton box and labor.

Unfortunately the crew who showed up did not show up with this stuff and blamed the estimator. The estimator blamed the crew and said since I accepted the move (what else was I to do, not move because they didn't show up with a few cartons!?!) there was nothing they could do. However, 5 days after the move I was able to get them to agree to a refund. Yet, 6 weeks later no refund arrived. So on Nov 14 I then mentioned the words BBB and Attorney General and suddenly they said they would again credit my cc for the $73.

However, that was over 3 weeks ago and I've heard nothing, not even from their CFO Edwin Nabal who was cc'ed on the emails. It's obvious they have no intention to refund my money since it's now been 9 weeks since my move and I cannot get a simple refund for services not rendered. They seem good during the quote phase and my estimator Dale Hintz seemed like a good guy, which is why I chose them. However, if anything goes wrong their attitude changes. Don't risk moving with them, you won't get satisfaction.

On another note, the crates they moved my stuff in were falling apart. See photos. You'd be pretty upset if you paid thousands to move across country and damaged crates showed up on the day of your move.

Run away from King Relocation Services (dba King Van & Storage). They stole my $73. Don't let them take advantage of you too.

I am going to have to file my own Ripoff Report, a complaint with the BBB, and Attorney General after Paulette Miller (P&M Solutions LLC) notifies me today that since the carrier cannot locate my lost boxes and furnishings after more than 6 months they have no choice but to deny the claim for $13,000 submitted.  Her rationale?  There were no items listed on the Bingo checkoff sheet at time of delivery noted as not delivered.  Is she serious?  No items were checked off as delivered (or not delivered) because the crew would not allow inventory when the items were delivered, as they argued they were on the clock (they were paid upfront in the contract for the delivery, so time should not have been an issue).  CA law allows 90 days to file a claim regardless of what may or may not have been noted on any property damage reports, Bingo inventory checkoff et cetera to allow time to thoroughly open and inspect all boxes.  BTW, the Bingo checkoff had a clearly written note that stated I cannot confirm if items were delivered or not because crew would not allow checkoff of items as they were unloaded into my storage unit.  The crew who was instructed to wait until paperwork for the storage unit was signed in the office and I could return to the unit for them to unload went ahead and unloaded 3 of 4 crates at record speed while I was signing paperwork and refused to move items out of storage so I could inventory them or know what had or had not been placed in the storage unit.  So they finish up and the form “was everything received?” I wrote “n/a – I won’t know until I can inventory” and Paulette interprets this as everything was delivered just fine and in its entirety.

Later that day I do a full inventory and lots of boxes and furnishings missing.  Contact Sharon at King Relocation to let her know I was missing items and requested a full inventory list only to be referred to Paulette Miller who handles their claims.  King Relocation has never corresponded with me or worked with me to find my missing belongings since turning this over to Paulette in June 2017.  Paulette went weeks and months without responding.  Today I hear from her that they will be paying $0 and case is closed.  So since they can't find my items they are not paying?  Mind you I had full valuation insurance for $28,000 with $0 deductible.  King Relocation does not pay claims.  After further research on the internet today I learn King Relocation owns P&M Solutions LLC.  Conflict of interest?  I have found several others in the same boat and not one person has had a claim paid.  Both these companies use deceptive business practices.

I wish I had researched them more carefully myself, but like you Dale Hintz is very convincing they're the best in the business.  I should have known something was wrong when they did not send a long haul 48' truck but a rented crew and 24' truck telling me that the long haul driver ran out of space on his load.  Seems this is common practice of theirs as well, as there is another report on this issue logged on this site for the same reason.  This company is ripping people off, keeping their money, losing their belongings, and not paying any claims.
