I purchased a bathroom vanity from kitchenbathcollection.com online for the amount of $1,852.99. It arrived unbelievably packed and crated. It took an hour just to unpack the item. Once I started to modify the vanity (cut holes for the plumbing in the back of the unit) I noticed the vanity had paint cracks along most of the joints. On one of the drawers had a large, poorly repaired defect. You could see paint brush marks where it was touched up, due to the fact that it was originally sprayed. They claim on their website to have "superior finishes" on their products. Really?

I called the company to voice my complaint and receive help in rectifing the problem. I spoke with Kimberly and she requested that I email photos of the defect, which I did right away (18 photos). After viewing the photos, she stated that the cracking was abnormal and asked where the vanity was stored and for how long. I responded that it was stored in our insulated garage, still crated, for about 1 1/2 months while the bathroom was being completed. Her response was that the vanity is only manufactured for bathroom climates. Really?

Needless to say, I was starting to become annoyed. This vanity spent considerable time in a metal container on a ship all the way from China. It was then placed in a warehouse until an order came in for it. I'm sure that neither of these are climate controlled. I was also told that they open every crated piece prior to shipping. I know for a fact that they did not open this crate. I could tell it was packed in China and never re-opened.

Finally, I asked to speak with the owner (Sunny Chang). They emailed me his phone number and I called him. His attitude was the same as his employee, terrible. He at first refused to do anything to resolve the matter, he was more concerned with my attitude than resolving the defect. After a long and heated discussion, I stated that if it was re-painted I would accept it. He asked for an estimate for the painting and to call him the next day. 

Upon receiving the estimate for $375.00, I called the owner back and informed him of the amount. He stated that he would only pay $175.00 of the re-paint. I informed him that I would see him in small claims court and hung up! 

I warn everyone to be cautious if ordering anything from this company, due to the fact that you will receive no help if there is a problem with your order, no matter what.
