LA Fitness is a ripoff. They first lure you in by saying you get one free personal training session. This so called personal "Free" session is a sales pitch and a bunch of BS!!. They have you do a few exercises, but you don't get an actual evaluation until you sign the contract. I told the personal trainer I didn't have the money to spend right now, and he said I could try it out for 30 days and if I don't like it I can cancel it.

So, I signed the contract. Big Mistake!!! The so called trainer didn't even train with me, he had some other trainer who had to have been in the marines workout with me. Now I had a history of an accident, and my body just wasn't in shape and still was physicaly mest up, but I had tried everything else, so I thought I would start working out at my pace and get my body into shape physically and mentally slowly but surely. So I told the first trainer, and he said they would take it easy for a while. But this other trainer didn't take into account how long it had been since I exercised, and the workout he made me do wrecked my body for about a week, I could barely walk and was in tons of pain in my joints and musles. I called the place and told them I was still within my 30 day time, and wanted to cancel the Personal Training, they then told me about the cancellation form that I had to send to headquarters. The next day I sent them the form by certified mail. It has been about 2 weeks since they received the letter. Well today I got a letter in the mail stating that I can't cancel the agreement, but I could terminate it and have to pay the remaining balance!!!! I called the number they had on there, and apparantley they received it 3 DAYS after my 30 day trial...they won't honor that. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. So now I either have to continue paying monthly for the training for a year (which they did not fully explain) and not use any of the sessions, or pay almost 800.00 to terminate. This place is a RIPOFF and they don't care about your well being, they care about who they can devour into their sales scheme. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO TO LA FITNESS!!
