La Weight Loss ex employee - we get scammed as well as the customers! Atlanta Georgia
Just to let the poor clients of la weight loss know the employees get scammed as well! When they interview us they tell us we are going to make sooo much money! We only get paid $9.00 an hour as a counselor and assistant manager.
Managers make 550 a week. We are told of all the commission we can make. Well....only the upper crust of management is getting phat!! Commission is only 2% of their sales. I assure you when they appeared on TV a month or so ago.....memo's were flying! What to say, what not to say!
I know in the atlanta area it is almost impossible to get a refund. If you do it is seriously 6 months later. The company is horrible at paying their bills......maybe they should barter those expensive LA lites!! Employees are put thru a 2 week training. And you are not aloud to disagree with the program or ask too many questions. (you are then a trouble maker) when you get into center and find out how little you are really going to make.....they tell you to sell, sell, sell. We arent open and we do not disclose the amount of the LA Lites until the 6th visit.
The LA lites are very expensive and are horribly high in sugar. (Great diet food, huh?) We are told to hit people hard on their emotional triggers. Make them cry. If they cry they buy! The corporate owned and francised owned all treat the employees horrible. Consistantly calling, nagging over the sales. If you dont have sells........woe is you! The company needs to be controlled for the public's sake. This is happening all over the united states!
The program is now down to $6.00 a week....sounds good....but wait....the shortest program they will let you sell is 52 weeks. I will let you do the math. The other program is called "Premier" which could the a 2yr plus program depending on how much weight you need to loose. But whammy......now here come the cost of the bars!!! on average they run (you have 3 different options) $1500, 1000, and 500. Sure makes for an expensive candy bar! The counselors are no different from anyone in the street....be careful of the advice you receive!! They are not only buyer beware....they are employee beware! But hey, atleast they are consistant!
