March 18, 2008 I proceeded to look for a reasonably priced lap-top computer. Since my boyfriend and I are full-time students and stay-at home parents it was not in my bugdet to buy a new one, but we desperately
needed a computer to do homework on. I had heard from several people that pawn shops sold these kinds of items for very low prices and that they were trustworthy because they dont even receive items from customers if they are broken or out-dated. We purchased a lap-top Dell computer from Las Vegas Jewelry and Loan on March 18, 2008 and on March 22, 2008 it no longer worked. It wouldn't even turn on. I called and asked to speak to the owner and they told me that he was not in but it didn't matter anyway because he wouldn't take the item back. I asked them if they could even exchange it because it hadn't even been in my possession for a week and it was not powering on, they told me no they did not take things back. I guess I am out of $300.00 and still in the same position of needing a resolution. What a rip-off!
