Upon inquiring about an Air BnB in San Diego, this place in Tijauna pops up and is so much cheaper and the photos make it look like it is right on the ocean. I was pressured into making the reservation before someone else grabbed this great deal and somewhere in the fine print it says no refunds. I didn't realize that there is a tourist alert for Americans in Tijuana, and kidnappings happen there regularly especially to Americans, I looked up the address on Google Earth and it looks so scary and run down. Now I notice the bars on the window. It is more dangerous then the worst ghettos and projects you can imagine. A blonde single female in that town might as well wear a shirt that has a target on it. They didn't have their ad up for like a week because of my reservation and they want to keep $700. I worked hard for that money. They didn't do anything except mislead me and con me- total rip off scam and I would be cautious of using any Air BnB listing after this especially in Mexico. This was going to be my first vacation ever and I am 42. Now I can't afford to go anywhere but they get to pocket my money so they can go on vacation.
