Lavabo Giant I am another vicitm of this company. Internet
I placed an order for a FANTINI shower on 6th May 2009 after contacting Lavabo Giant via email and confirming the price. I transferred over 1,100. 3 weeks later Lavabo emailed to say they hadn't reviewed their price list for this manufacturer for 2 years and the price was 800 more but would split this 50:50. I wrote back and stated that I had a contract and expected the original delivery and price to be honoured.
For the next week I emailed every day and tried calling but got no response. I got a friend to mail them with a sales enquiry and they replied instantly. I needed the item on time as development work had already begun so I recontacted other suppliers for quotes and 1 said he'd had a number of customers who been defrauded by Lavabo Giant. It was then I saw comments on this site.
I contacted the manufacturer who got the UK agent to call me. He said Lavabo were not a recognised distributer / retailer of the Fantini products. He is the agent for a number of manufacturers and had to deal with a number of people Lavabo had conned and had been to speak to them 2 years ago as it damaged the reputation of the companies he represented. Nothing changed.
I have taken legal advice on the matter and issued formal cancellation notices.
