Lazar Research, Lazar Research Laboratories Bad equipment/no refund Los Angeles California
I am a professor from The Ohio State University who ordered a product from them and they have been downright criminal about it. It never worked from day one, but they ignored multiple phone and email messages for months. I notified the Better Business Bureau, but they ignored them too (they now list this company as unresponsive).
After more nagging, Lazar finally did respond to me, but instead of offering a refund or replacement, they wanted us to trouble shoot what was defective with the equipment. After another 8 months of run around, my need for the equipment passed and I just never made the intended measurements. Lazar finally told us to return the equipment, which we did, but now they say that they can't give refund unless requested in the first 30 days. We tried over and over in the first 30 days, but they never responded.
Lazar offered a credit on another order, but that is of no help to me. The OSU legal people might help me, but they are back logged with bigger money issues. However, for my research grant, this is a big deal.
