It's been over 4 weeks since I spoke with Pam (757) 490-6057 ......  I'd originally called 1-866-424-4886 and Scott Brown told me to call the other number.

Anyway...... Since my LAZY BOY Amerian made piece of CRAP is still STUCK in the up position...... I thought I'd vent my frustrations on Rip Off Report ... in hopes to warn everyone NOT NO purchase furniture from Lazy Boy. OR if you do don't expect it to be QUALITY furniture.

I sent my certified return receipt requested to Mr. Kurt Darrow...... for the second time in 3 years...... gave him my complete history of his crappy furniture and of course, he hasn't responded. Then again - WHY WOULD HE? He/they already have our money..... and continue getting our money...........

Guess that's why he can afford to live in a $650,000 house. Oh yeah, that and "see below:

Part STILL not received - Chair STILL stuck in up position - Stuck in UP position since Jan 22, 2010

Jan 5, 2010 8:50am Chair stuck in DOWN position I call and speak with Pam, she tells me shell order the release cable. Should be here within 2-3 weeks. Release cable arrived, but Chuck was able to fixed the chair without the release cable (the problem wasnt the release cable).

Jan 22, 2010 10:35am Called Lazy Boy Service chair stuck IN UP position. Spoke with Pam. She starts calling me sir, sir, sir.. thinking its someone else on the line. I informed her it was a new customer, THEN FINALLY she says, O.K. How can I help you?  As I tell her whats going on she says hang on.. Finally at 10:50am she give me assistance TELLS ME that she will place the complete mechanism on order for the chair and it should take 2-3 weeks.

Feb 13, 2010 12:05 Called to follow up on order. Spoke with Angela. She told me she was just the receptionist and just started working there and didnt have a log on to the computer, so she couldnt look up my order. She would leave a message for Pam and shed get back to me. (Pan was out to lunch and she said shed call me back when she returned from lunch).

Uncertain on time: Called to see if Pam had returned from lunch shed GONE HOME FOR THE DAY.

Feb 15, 2010 -  4:10  - Called for follow up on part - Spoke with Angela after being disconnected, and Angela telling me the phone went out again, she said she was NOW able to check the computer. However, the ticket # was in the computer and she seen a note in the computer to Tina to place on order. I told her I needed to speak with someone who could reassure me the part was on order OR that could place the part on order AGAIN.

She passed me to Keshia ticket # in computer but she doesnt see that theres a part on order. I ask her if I could place the part on order AGAIN (with her) and she said, Sure . She also ask if wed be needing someone to install the part, I thought that was odd because Ive never been ask that before. I told her to please, lets just take it slow and let the part arrive first before jumping to the installation. She demanded that I tell her if we need someone to install it, I said,  We cant just let the part sit in the floor now can we? Keshia told me the part would be delivered WHEN ???    2-3 weeks.

She said to call her back next week Wednesday or Thursday to see if part has been shipped.

Feb 25, 2010 10:55am  Called to follow up on part that has supposedly been on order now since Jan 22 spoke with Rachel she said she was just the receptionist and couldnt help me with my order, but that I would need to speak with someone in customer care and they were all on the line. I told her I would wait. She put me on hold and immediately the line went dead.

I called her back and told her the line was disconnected, she said yeah, I lost connection. Places me back on hold.

When she finally comes back to the phone she tells me that she doesnt want to keep me on hold that would I leave a message, I told her no, because my messages dont get returned. I ask to speak with Brenda Washington OR Evelyn Roads (from previous dealings with Lazy Boy I know that these two are managers) Rachel ask me my name and tells me that Brenda and Evelyn are managers, I told her that I know that and thats why I need to speak with them because Brenda has helped me in the past.

11:05 am Brenda Washington gets on the phone and I tell her part of my problem and that Ive been told twice that my part has been placed on order and need to know the status.

Brenda tells me that these mechanisms are on backorder at the Monroe, MI factory but shed check my order. She tells me that according to the computer, the part is due to be shipped TODAY, FEDEX Brenda tells me I should receive the part tomorrow OR Monday at the latest.

Feb 26, 2010 - 11:20am - FEDEX truck just went by my house and didn't stop. Guess we'll see if the part will be delivered Monday.... THEN call them to install it and PAY ONCE AGAIN $79.00 for installation. This is the SAME CHAIR that they "supposedly repaired" last year.... and we paid $79.99 for the repair...seems to me that IF they repaired it properly - we shouldn't have to PAY AGAIN!

MADE IN MONROE, MICHIGAN - LAZY BOY furniture is POOR QUALITY! Do not purcahse Lazy Boy furniture.

My saga should be a lesson to others. DON'T get stuck in the position I'm in. Paying over $3,000 for crap!

Letter was received at Lazy Boy in Monroe. MI. But of course the President/CEO Mr Kurt Darrow STILL has not responded to me. (Like I really thought he would!). Aggggggggggggggggggggggggggggh! PLEASE learn from my mistake and don't waste your money on this poor quality product.
