I am writing this letter in response to an untrue article written by Mike from Wichita KS. It is unfortunate that Mike was not paid a full commission for this real estate transaction. My seller agreed to pay Mike a reduced fee of $1500 as a courtesy to one of our buyers and not because this agent deserved, earned or was owed any kind of a commission in this sale. Our real estate association has a service where agents can arbitrate to claim a commission if they were owed one and not paid. Mike Hopper's office never attempted to arbitrate for a commission in this sale (which is smart considering Mike had broken so many real estate rules in this transaction). In short these buyers, when asked, stated they did not have a real estate agent, which Mike admits. They did not visit once or twice they worked with me for almost a year and never once brought along or mentioned anything about looking at other homes around town with Mike Hopper. Mike also admitted to sneaking into my sellers home without permission (which is against the law) and he wrote a contract and asked for a commission after he was advised by me that the seller was not willing to offer him one because he had never been present during a single visit with these customers. A complaint has been filed against Mike with the Kansas Real Estate Commmission and with the Wichita Area Association of Realtors for his unprofessional conduct regarding this matter. It is a shame he has come to this web site to attempt to defame the good name of my company, myself and my builder. His disgraceful business practices seem to have excluded him from seeking any professional or legal recourse in this matter so its possible he felt this was his only option for venting his frustrations.
