Dr. Jacobson is a totally unprofessional and not trustworthy Veterinarian. Her bad actions caused the Death of my beloved dog and she refuses to accept that her pratice is not responsible and no one should ever visit this Vet if they want to see their animal stay alive.. My dog would have still been alive if she had take all the necessary steps needed when I took my dog for a visit.

I HAVE HAD ONLY POSITIVE EXPERIENCES

My family and I have used Dr. Jacobson as our family vet for over 30 years, when she was located on West 6th Street. We have had nothing but positive experiences with all our pets at Dr. Jacobson's clinics. She is extremely professional and caring. She takes the time to listen to the concerns we have about our babies, and offers suggestions as to possible courses of treatment if more than one exist. One time she even had me come in after hours because I was frantic about my cat being ill. Dr. Jacobson is also very personable, asking about our family and talking about hers. As to the office being "creepy", "dismal" and a "war zone", well, that's just hyperbole. The office is cramped, to be sure (the rooms are "railroad fashion"), but that's because it's located in a small storefront on Kings Highway, just a few steps from her former office. We are all thankful that she didn't move out of the neighborhood, and has stayed so close to her clients. If a cramped office is the trade-off, so be it. Regarding the sign stating that abandoned animals will be euthanized, no-kill shelters are few and far between, and are usually filled up. This places an unfair burden on any vet to place a pet that a client was too indifferent or lazy to make any kind of effort for. Remember, it is a business, NOT a charity. And I've seen animals there in the past that the folks in the office were trying to rehabilitate. One of them was a cat that was people-shy, and they were working with it to make it friendly and companionable. Hardly the "unsympathetic and mean" office that has been portrayed here.

I don't doubt it...

I don't doubt this. I know she has been around for a long long time in this neighborhood and many years ago my own family used her for our first family pet. However, there is something very creepy about the office and the vet. The office is dismal and depressing looking. I would like to know why it looks like they are all behind a hidden cage? You think they were located in a war zone. I have never seen a more unfriendly, dark atmosphere in a tight little grey lobby with nowhere to sit. She has a sign up stating that "all abandoned animals at this facility will be brought to the CACC and dealt with with the euthanasia law." How horrible is that? I believe it with her. I heard she is unsympathetic. My sister brought her dog there years ago and hated her demeanor and just got a general bad feeling about her. While I have no doubt that Dr. Jacobson must have experienced many abandoned animals in her office over the years and in this busy area in Brooklyn I wouldn't be surprised, this makes her look unsympathetic and mean. Hello there are animal no kill shelters she could work with if she really wanted to with these abandoned pets! With her money, don't tell me she couldn't work it out somehow. It is a shame. She needs to retire and or move to a new facility!!!

R IS MISGUIDED AND WRONG

This is to inform the public that we know who this former client is. Dr. Jacobson has never seen, examined or treated his dog and would not recognize this man if she saw him in the street. R's dog was diagnosed with a suspicion of cancer. R chose to put his dog to sleep. It is unfortunate that R must blame innocent veterinarians for a medical condition for which no one had any control.
