I would highly recommend NOT buying anything from Little Dealer, Little Prices! This is a company located in the Phoenix Metro area with three locations.

We originally purchased our trailer from them in used condition (a four year old trailer @ purchase). Later, the trailer developed leaks at the beds - this trailer has pull out beds / canvas.

We brought the trailer in several times for service, and they were not getting it fixed. Each time they would do something different, apparently not test anything, then release to the customer (me!) in the same condition as before! Later, they admitted it was a manufacturer defect causing this - you would think being they sold me the trailer, there would be some level of accountability from them to at least resolve the problem!

The last time it was brought in, they guaranteed it was fixed once and for all! Upon finally testing the unit, you guessed it, it leaked again! I further reviewed the repairs and had another independent mechanic / service technician take a look - they did an absolute horrible job trying to "band aid" the problem. They used gray putty material, which is typically used to seal roof components and corners on RV's to seal the pull out bed / canvas material!

Basically, they attempted to "bubble gum" the canvas to the frame to prevent the leaking. First of all, the putty isn't meant for this application - and would be temporary at best, since it isn't a glue or permanent fix - just like bubble gum can hold something together, it will eventually break!

When I called them, one of the service managers basically alluded to the fact there is really nothing more they can do. She also accused me of doing something to the unit to cause the leak and pointed out that "things shift over time - we only guarantee our work for 90 days".

This was less than six months later.. certainly a $500+ repair should last longer than that! And I agree with her - something did shift, because "bubble gum" isn't meant to last very long and was a temporary fix at best. You can temporarily seal any leak on a temporary basis, but it isn't a fix and will not last!

Furthermore, the fix was nasty - ugly gray putty was all over my canvas, making it sticky and look horrible - they didn't even clean up after doing the work. Furthermore, since the putty isn't a permanent fix, every time you open / close the bed, more of this stuff falls out and gets all over the place. I don't claim to be a professional service technician, but common sense tells you this is not a permanent fix and was outright shoddy work.

I sent a detailed letter to Little Dealer Management - I took the time to outline all of the issues in a very professional and calm manner - not even a response!! Whether you do something or not is not even the issue here - I would think management would at least be concerned enough to call the customer and attempt to get more details and understand the issue - customer service 101!

For more details, please check out my web site (should be up soon). The site is being professionally developed and is dedicated to consumers - my case will be highlighted on the front page of the site, but other consumers will have the ability to post comments or talk about their experiences with any company - good or bad!

This site will have links on all major RV sites, and will have some high priority in the major search engines - should be a good way for consumers to voice their opinions and hold companies accountable for their service - good or bad! This site is really dedicated for RV'ers... I will also have my letter to them posted here, along with exact dates, copies of service orders, and pictures of the horrible work - you can decide for yourself!

My family and I have owned ours for about two years now.  We own a 2013 Surveyor Select SV305 10th Anniversary edition.  I have had many problems with the unit, and if it was not for these problems, the unit might be one of the best. We brought our unit in for these issue while it was under warranty, but they were not resolved correctly.

1)    AC - Brought back under Warranty - The AC system does not cool the back bunkroom very well if at all.  To get the front bedroom cool, you need to0 close off the main cabin.  When the unit is on trying to cool, it is so loud in the main cabin.

2)    HEAT - Brought back under Warranty - The heat does not work without the upper blower running, so if you are out in winter, using heat, the main cabin top unit will run creating a loud noisy night.

3)    ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM - Brought back under Warranty - I have had nothing but problems with the Jensen TV/DVD/STEREO system; it is not very good, and very frustrating.  The DVD never wants to tie into the TV, you can hear it, but not see it.  The TV sound does not go through the stereo speakers, and therefor you can barely hear the TV.   I take it back to the dealer and they say that it seems to work fine, and they claim that is how Forrest River designed it, and if that is true, I am not inclined to buy another Forrest River product.

4)    OUTDOOR KITCHEN - Brought back under Warranty - The outdoor kitchen door has been a problem from day one.  The dealer changed the opening arms, but the arms on the outdoor kitchen fail and snap off, they do not hold the door up very long without creeping down, and when stored they loose their ability to raise the door.  Mine has both snapped off and just pulled the screens right out of the door.

5)    TRAILER HEIGHT - The trailer rides very low to the ground, scary on road trips and when traversing low terrain or road transitions from parking lots.  The trailer hitch drags on the ground and the jack pads scrape the ground.

6)    DUMPING – Since the trailer sits so low (See # 5 above), it is very difficult to dump grey and black water.

7)    ELECTRIC JACKS – Brought back under Warranty - The Electric Jacks cannot level the trailer, they cannot handle the empty weight of the unit, and so it is almost impossible to level using the jacks that come with the unit.
